Simple but well made!! I included it in part 1 of my Public Domain Jam 2 compilation video series, if you would like to check it out :) https://youtu.be/xbZmIYuD92U

Oh, good stuff! I love it when an adventure game adds a little humor for the player willing to try strange combinations like talking to furniture. "Spirits, are you under the bed?"

Also the little variations on the text, like the boy in the window about the turkey, nice touch. Had to use the Ivy from Tim's potion to make the place a bit more festive, hopefully he won't miss it ;)

I was kind of confused by this. I feel like if I hadn't read any of these comments I wouldn't have known that the fiddler thing was a puzzle, I thought it was a nightmare or something that the ghost was trying to have me remember. A couple of times the descriptions went off of the screen and my up button stopped working on the dialogue choices after a while. It seems like you had a plan though, a definite approach on how you wanted it to go. I think if you cleared some things up by adding some other images, or even an "objective"-type of message, it'd help a lot.

Hi! I've been quite confused by the controls and puzzles (could not get past the one with the Ivy and water). It seems that you can choose things with left/right keys in your menu while choosing dialogues with the up/down keys. Not sure if it's intended? (That's the only way I could pass the fiddle one, I had to choose in the menu bar the door and use it) I don't know what engine you've used but using point and click features here would make things way much easier ^^ Apart from that, I like the fact that you've used Carols; could be nice to have the music related to them ^^ as a non-english speaker, I don't know the tunes and was wondering what they sound like.

After you touch the ground, did you get the spirit saying "Finish" with three wrong choices to choose from, or did you go back to the beginning.

EDIT: Ah, just looked at it. Yeah, there's an issue. If you mess up that puzzle one then the game gets out of sync. You'll have to refresh it when you do it wrong, or I've uploaded a fixed version here: http://www.kongregate.com/games/JohansenIndustr/a-...

THanks for playing and for your comments.

I thought this was . . . alright. The art is, frankly, a bit unattractive. The game is playable and simple, but music & extra art would have really upped the atmosphere. The fact that we don't move from that one screen hampers the game to me, not really making this an interactive experience. Also, can't get past the part with the fiddlers. When I spin, touch the floor, and then the ground, the spirit blames me for not remembering, when I just did the routine perfectly.

(btw, also in this game jam! My game is HummingBIrd Haunting. Check it out? I'm always looking for feedback: norbez.itch.io/hummingbird-haunting)
