Which Theme did you choose?

Technological Menace

How did you implement your chosen Theme into your game?
The entire game is about robots!

Did you implement any of the Bonus Challenges and if so, which ones?
1 - Can't Let You Do That: The main plot of the game can directly contribute to this. It is also shown in the intro cutscene of the game. I wanted to do a little more with this but I knew that I would not be able to implement it in time for the game jam.

2 - Robot: The entire game is about robots!

3 - Repairs Needed: One of the main mechanics of the game is for you to repair broken bots in order to move on.

Notes from gameplay:

- Cute text for game title. Button font is pretty "default"

- A number of typos in the text

- Awesome opening cutscene!

- The ability to customize is great!

- Drawings in the C for controls section are great, 3rd column of text looks out of place, however, and it all overlaps over the collect 4 parts objective

- I can't see where my cursor is in the tutorial (enabled auto lock, assuming that's why?)

- Camera rotation is very hard to deal with

- I'm stuck on "space to punch" in the tutorial. I've punched away everything in the room, it's just me and my bots left and I'm back to 0/4 parts

- Drove off platform to kill myself to try again

- Tutorial now says to enter the elevator, but elevator door won't open. Can't seem to progress. Fell off platform and died again.

Cute concept, but controls (especially camera rotation) could use some work. Love how you could customize the bot! Great intro cutscene to set the story up!

I ran out of time to make the third coloem for the controls and forgot to make them when I updated the game. But I will draw it in the next update. Try approaching a sign and click LMB or RMB if you can't see the cursor. I'm going to look into bugs for the auto lock on. I am going to change the camera speed option in the next update as well. I am going to look into the bugs you've mentioned for the tutorial floor aswell, so thanks for your input! Also if it helps I did post a gameplay video of the entire game a cupple days ago https://youtu.be/1yJDOqbyk3s?t=98&si=JKcXBj0j2jrJU9Ax

I think the biggest issue for me was not knowing where to go to end the tutorial level.

Wow, what a great opening! Super cool hook for first impressions.

Gameplay is a bit rough, I think camera sensitivity option would be nice. I also found it a bit difficult to use the lock-on ability. Story, art, and sound design is great! I liked the customization in the beginning as well! One small nitpick from me would be to go through and fix typos, as it could be difficult for someone to understand, especially if a player does not have English fluency.

Great work and well done!

There Is an option to change the camera sensitivity, if you press esc to pause the game you can change the speed of the camera with this option here:

Also, I have recently updated the game that adds an auto lock-on for players who are struggling with the manual lock-on.

Awesome, thanks! This will surely help out for ease of gameplay.

These extra options aren't showing from the main menu, FYI

The opening is great but the gameplay is a bit stiff, I found it really hard to use to lock on system :/ Maybe a auto target with a cycle between targets option would be better instead of the mouse cursor?

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I think I'm going to implement that as a different control style the next update. Thanks for your input!

The opening video alone should win this game jam.
