Which Theme did you choose?
Family Secret
How did you implement your chosen Theme into your game?
The game is from the POV of 17-year-old Lila, who has a mysterious scar she believes is a birthmark. She has to uncover a series of family secrets to find who gave her that scar. I'm submitting a demo so the full story of the family is not presented yet but the grounds for the events are laid down via in-game messaging.
Did you implement any of the Bonus Challenges and if so, which ones?
Yes, the MC finds forgotten items to help her remember her traumatic past.

Nice artwork and vibe, it's both cozy and sad. I'd love to see it include more interactable objects, looking forward for the full game!
Thank you! There would definitely be more interactable objects in further stages of development.
Amazing looking entry, well balanced audios. Im excited to know more if/when a full version is released. The writing had me hooked
Have a VOD of me experiencing this first time I'll upload to the Themed Horror Game Jam discord if you are interested in watching someone play your game. Great work!
Thank you so much! Do you have a YouTube channel streaming entries? I would love to follow you!
I'm kinda double texting here 😁 but I just watch the video and it was sooo fun and helpful! Especially watching you rate the game at the end on camera, it gives me better perspectives on what should I be working on.
I had a couple of people getting lost at times about how to continue so I definitely need to make the messages and the navigation arrows more obvious. I was a bit worried about the horror aspect because I couldn't go vey far in the demo and the game is planned as "chill slowly dissolves into madness" vibe so the demo is barely exiting the chill part.
Btw, the scratched off options are not unavailable in the demo, they are just scratched off because you can't go in those routes based on your choices.
ooooh I see! Glad you got something out of my review! Looking forward to a full release
I loved the art style in this game! I don't have a lot to say story wise, it was pretty good so far, it feels like just the beginning. I'd love to see more from this game and where the story ends up going. Also the dog was cute. Overall, great job!
Ruffles is my favourite character! Thank you so much for the comment!
Really polished look and charming style! I really like the direction this is going in, I'm just having some trouble progressing. I read all the messages, and a lot of them say to work on the school project, so I feel like there's something I have to do with that, but only the messaging app on the computer does anything. Not sure what to do next, but I'd love to revisit this! Also I think the navigation arrows should be a little more obvious, and sometimes they don't disable, like when you're looking at the desk. Not sure if that's how you meant it to be, but it was a little jarring navigating at times. But really cool game!
Thank you so much! I got from a couple of people that they were struggling finding how to continue and I will make if more obvious but in the meantime - the green messages are clickable, they are a choice to be made by the player.
About the arrows, what do you mean by "sometimes they don't disable"?
Very beautiful looking graphics and an interesting story starting to unfold! I couldn't seem to get out of the room but maybe that is not possible at this time? Nonetheless I'm curious to see what will become of this, well done! :)
No, everything in the demo happens from within the room, although there is more then one path to get the information presented to you, and each gives a bit of a different context. That being said, it is not required to go through all of them, of cause.
