That was good fun :) My only nit pick is you can just run past the enemies a lot of the time!
I added a terminal with new dialogue to introduce the first puzzle and also a save station after the first puzzle.
Liked the game very much, experience of crossing the bridge to the cube was great, thanks to both visual design and music. And drone's screech really threw me to the edge of my seat the first time!
However, after some time music track on repeat was a bit tedious. Also the puzzle could use some easier introduction. I wouldn't guess what I need to do, if I didn't know about Constellation Puzzle challenge.
Thanks for the feedback, glad you liked the bridge section. I am working on a new terminal with dialogue to introduce the puzzle
The game is great on many levels! It is well thought and engaging. The environments are nice. Though, you should've made the whole thing smaller. It gets tedious to regenerate and walk through the same giant halls every time. Why don't you build a browser version since it's very simple? So, more people could enjoy your game.
Thanks, glad you liked it. I can definitely work a little more on the level to make it more dynamic, i'll try to make a browser version and see how it goes.
Awesome! Good luck!
Oh my god this is so good. You already know everything you need to so I'm not gonna say anything.
Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it.
There's a lot to like here. The game handles very well. The wall textures are interesting to look at, and the visual design overall coheres well. The sound design is immersive. The save/continue function is very helpful. The level design does a good job of subtly landmarking (for example, by making rooms different shapes and adding different colored lights) so that I didn't get lost, even though there's no map and I have no sense of direction.
Alas, this was too difficult for me. I got the hang of shooting the enemies from the shadows, dashing across the lit areas, and then using my flashlight only when necessary, but I still couldn't avoid constantly dying. :)
One minor criticism: I found the way the text quickly unfolded to be a bit distracting. Maybe it should move a bit more slowly.
Hi, thanks for playing and I appreciate your review and criticism. Yeah the gameplay loop of enemy encounters was something i found its really hard to design and to keep it balanced, but it definitely served as practice for me
yep! Jams are an amazing learning experience. :)
Well done.
