It's huntin' time.

Really cute game. The somewhat simple 3d combined with the relative darkness of the caves gives it a really nice, somewhat spooky atmosphere. The otter sound is great, and how they work is really cool. I quite liked it despite its simplicity.

otters are so cute

3D! Glowing things! Otters! I feel like the gameplay is a bit lackluster, but the game seems aware of this and doesn't drag on and it doesn't get in the way of enjoying the things the game does well.

A fun little game. The otters are cute, and I swear they sound like jinjos from Banjo-Kazooie. Yachie herself has a glorious model, though could do with a blink cycle on the eyes or she will stare into your soul. The UI is not a looker but clearly provides everything you need to know. The gameplay loop is super interesting, being a sort of pikmin pathfinding problem. The biggest shame is that there was not more to play, which is one of the better problems for a game to have. A few more levels to explore would be great. The writing is a detached from the actual gameplay, but gives context to crystal hunt and has some amusing tidbits thrown it. This game is worth the few minutes it asks just to watch the otters hop about and dip your toes into the interesting concept.

There’s so much potential in this idea. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect after the tutorial but the addition of the shop and the branching paths made it all click. Would definitely have played a few more levels!

Really good job with the models, and the audio is pretty nice too.

The characterisation in the journal entries was fun, it was interesting that the story was mostly about difficult political things happening outside the cave but Yachie was having a relaxing time on her own collecting crystals with otters. I think I might still have preferred some more direct text to the journals though, maybe it even could come up whilst you’re playing to fill some of the time you’re waiting for otters.

In any case, great job, especially to have done it all yourself.

What a simple, cute and fun game!  I was quite confused what to do at first, but everything came together whenyou start moving around. Incredibly relaxed, with chill music, and a cute Yachie model. I love the yippee the critters make, and it makes the player feel rewarded for their progress thus far! I love the simple collect-a-thon, and would totally play more if ever expanded upon.  More dialogue or writing in general, even as flavor text would give some more intractability to the game and characterization! All in all, short and simple concept that was executed well!

I appreciate the keyboard and controller options, as well as the menu demonstrating the control layouts.

The mechanics are pretty fun. I wish there was more! The 3D graphics and the overall mood are pretty cool too, it feels quite mysterious. What else is there in these caves? I was half-expecting one of the corridors to just take me to a secret area!

The little otters are so cute!

It's very strange at the beginning. Then I started connecting the dots and it's quite ambitious, I really like the idea! Although definitively there's room for improvement for later games (or this game).

Favorite Parts: It's like Pikmin? resource management while you go spelunking into dark cavern using otters and torches, it's fascinating!
