Hmm, a retelling of Marisa starting to become a magician?
As a respectable beginner magician she can fly with her broom. But why does the broom only activate when Marisa's falling? Not that it matters much, just like her jump. Just that it feels a bit odd it doesn't activate the moment the key is pressed but rather "later".
In this game jumping precision is important due to the various bullets flying that sometimes require tight dodges and the emphasis on platforming. I think being able to control the jump height would have been great.
These aside, this game as a survival platformer is appealing enough. Maybe even more so for speedrunners.
A nice concept for sure, the broom mechanic was interesting too. My poor vision made it hard to see the platforms though so I died a lot
Decent concept, stage portions were very hard though - fairy pattern randomness, platforms being hard to see, and a large player hitbox made it difficult to save health for bosses. Jumps did become easier once I realized that I could just mash shift + space and then broom to get over any gap, but it was essentially impossible to make the longer jumps while also dodging bullets. The boss patterns were pretty enjoyable to dodge though, and the music fit the tone of the game well. I was able to beat Alice, so I guess this means Marisa owns her house now?
Cute art. Somewhat basic gameplay, lots of very hard to make jumps. Had some issues with collision detection.
hi! the game is cute, and it plays well after mapping the controls to a gamepad. A bit difficult, I couldn't get past Reimu orz
(also I suggest to try a standalone exe next time instead of an installation, it's more convenient)
Thank you! I didn't know that the option existed at the time but I updated the executable file to be a standalone .exe.
