It may be just me but isn't Mokou quite popular when it comes to (gay) pairings too?

I found this take on the VN genre quite interesting. You just discuss. There are various available topics to choose from and in any order and what was interesting in my eyes is how some topics seem to be related to another on one point which makes for smooth topic chaining. In example talking about safety in the streets which brings up the name of Tewi. Would I have not chosen to talk about Tewi some time before, I definitely would have chosen the topic of Tewi next!

I also really liked the sound tracks and the art, they blew me away. Reading it all was absolute bliss.

Developer

Thank you for your kind words.
Yeah, Mokou is quite popular when it comes to shipping, but then again a lot of characters in Touhou have a lot of yuri. Mokou just happens to be my absolute favorite character and Keine x Mokou just happens to be my favorite ship. Popularity had nothing to do with this, it was just me wanting to write something interesting about my favorite ship.
I like how Mokou has a lot of backstory that is very deeply involved with japanese folklore and history (which I am absolutely a sucker for) and I like their dynamic. Just the rough and tumble girl that doesn't understand how to deal with people, and the kind teacher who can absolutely beat the shit out of you if you misbehave. They are a power couple in my opinion and there is a lot of potential for a lot of interesting yuri.
I'm also glad that my design came through. The dialogue in that part of the game are ment to be just a natural conversation between two people and you as the player are ment to feel like you are just part of that. As such, the topics are supposed to kind of chain together. Originally, I wanted some more branching within the topics, like you could ask questions on the topic you were talking about and depending on your choices you might even get from talking about the safety on the streets to tewi directly if you were inclined to do that, but sadly there was no time for that. It does take a lot of time to plan and write something like that.

Anyways, I'm glad you enjoyed our game.

This is one of my favourite jam games so far. Amazing characterization, depth and of course, who doesn't appreciate a dose of Mokou in these hard times?
The graphics are adorable although I do spot several anatomical mistakes in the character art. It's minor though! Moving on to the writing, I really like how in-depth the intro goes as to discuss Mokou's backstory. Her banters with Reisen are enjoyable to read, although sadly I haven't quite finished the story yet.
I'm looking forward to continuing this sweet little VN.

I liked so much how the game uses Touhou lore, for example, before I decided to get in a topic, I knew what Mokou and Reisen were going to talk about because I already know those characters (and in the past I have read about them)

SO cute I teared up, so real too. Probably my fav on the LGBT theme. I also found the random small talk with Reisen super enjoyable and relaxing, which was unexpected. And the art is so good, they look so pretty (thanks for that ending cg btw lol).

PS: my only technical gripe is that changing the auto delay doesn't seem to do anything, so I couldn't use auto mode which I usually prefer (too slow on default).

Developer

Thank you for your kind words.
I'll look into that auto-delay issue of yours.

Very lovely, especially in art style. I accidentally crashed it a few times but that's probably my fault

Yeah there seems to be a bug where the game softlocks when you scroll up on your mousewheel. What's supposed to happen is that it jumps back in the script and shows the previous messages. Instead, it just kinda softlocks. I haven't figured that one out yet, so... uh... keep your finger off the scrollwheel...
If you found another bug, I'm happy to get a bug report for that too

Submitted

Mhm that's the one, but it doesn't always happen, it seems to be only when you try to scroll back to messages that instant-load (there's a few of them, but not too many, and my tendency to double-click to skip text means I miss them a lot)

I enjoyed the artwork and the chill, laid-back pace and atmosphere

I really liked this setting and I thought the Reisen and Mokou banter was really fun so I didn't mind the length of that segment. For whatever reason I had to use winrar instead of 7zip to extract the files but I don't know if that was just a problem with my computer/version of 7zip

I liked how the game still discussed Touhou and not just "rip these characters and make a new story from it". It made the flow somehow natural. Good job!

it was a liiiittle weird how the game was really long but the dialogue was still kinda cute and along with that the art (both opening and normal game) was really nice

Developer(+1)

Well, if most of your game's appeal is in text, you might as well go all out I say.
If you don't like VNs normally, the game might be a tad long though I assume, yes.
Anyways, I'm glad you liked it.

This is really nice :) Loved the graphic and the music. The game was a little slow to me BUT that's definitly cause I'm not really into this kind of games myself xD

This is the kind of game where you grab a drink/popcorn, and sit back and relax to. Audio and visuals are well done, although some parts of the dialogue are a little awkward. The first portion of Reisen's conversation feels a little long, but the story pays off in the end. Narrated intro scene was a great touch as well. Kudos!

Pretty good game, the opening and the rest of the game difference was a little awkard but with a limited time it's understandable and the visuals were great regardless, the universe was kind of nice and fun in some ways, and the end was very wholesome. As others said, Reisen seems like a long scene, but is actually important to the climax of the game. 9/10 It's worth mentioning the music was comfy and very good (even if the bar music is stuck on my head now haha)

I am the artist for this jam.

The visuals, music and sound effects is really amazing. Theme is spot on! The opening is really nice. The bar scene with Reisen felt kinda long though.  The best part is when Moku asked keine for marriage. I wish there was more Mokou and Keine. I understand its a game jam and all. Has a lot of potential.

oo cute art

The visuals here carry hard. The music too. If you're here for the word count, this VN won't disappoint you. At first I didn't understand why all that discussion with Reisen was needed at all, when it didn't have much to do with the main plot. But now I realize it shows the contrast between Mokou's two completely different sides. This game be good.

I'm so glad what I was going for came through in writing.
Hey, yes, I'm the girl who wrote this. Hello!
As you might be able to guess, I'm somewhat biased when it comes to Mokou.
Thank you for your kind words.
We all worked really had on this and I'm very glad you liked it.
If you were wondering about actual wordcount, it is somewhere around 9500 words.

It is really relaxing so far, I wish to continue experiencing it later! I am going to see about the other games as well, or else I won't have time for all of them. Because of that, I will wait until I have finished it before giving a review. It is promising.
