Hi!
It's a pretty nice game. I really like the perspective and graphics, it's simple but effective.
There is good enough challenge as well which scales with the score, so that's a nice touch.
I really had fun playing it.
This is epic! This is probably my favourite PICO-8 game of yours :)
my gosh, how is that score possible??? Luck?
Luck?! I think the word you're looking for is "Skill" :D
Wow pretty amazing what you've achieved in 2.5 hours! The game looks really nice and even though there is not much stuff going on and its extreme simplicity, it is really impressive to see that this is possible in this short time. Is there already stuff build in to create this 3dish look in pico-8?
Nope. Pico-8 has a 2d tileset and sprite editor built-in. As well as functions like line(), rect() or circ().
the 3d on the floor are some lines and the car is achieved by layering multiple sprites on top of each other.
An all around great game! From lexaloffle it looks like the car is implemented through sprites. I’m really impressed you could achieve such a convincing 3d effect that way!
Yes, it's just a couple of sprites placed with an offset
Not too hard, not too easy, the difficult is just right. And it gives a bit of a challenge as the score gets higher. I love it! This really did give me a retro feel to it as well as the choice of 8 bit music was nice and the art was really good. Amazing job and great polish on the game!
it wasn't really a choice. You can only use 8 bit sounds in pico-8 and the music is made by myself
Ahh, I see. The music was still pretty good though.
