Cool concept, I could only get a high score of 6 because the bigger enemies were tripping me.
Yes it's a bit hard to fight red enemies at first, if you want to kill them you need to hit and run. Like one hit, stepping back, then one hit again etc... You can't fight them by just pressing the attack or you will stun yourself on them.
Great gameplay with cool art and cool music. Love these synthwave vibes.

This game is so cool! I love the art style and it has those lines like on an old retro tv and the gameplay is so fun and addictive my best score was 3
Yes the game is hard, if you have trouble with the red enemies is suggest you to do some hit and run.
Balancing the difficulty in so little time was a bit hard so it's far from perfect.
Really awesome game! It was a little tricky to fight the large red monsters since the attacks would push me into them, I'd have to stutter step back to make enough space for the 3rd hit which killed them.
BUG REPORT: I broke the game I think by taking damage while catching the princess. She disappeared from my game and never went back up into the sky haha
Yes it seems everyone have trouble with them, you are supposed to do some hit and run to kill them, like one hit then stepping back and then two hits for exemple.
Oh funny bug, I will try to invistagate on it when the jam is over.

It reminds me of Saint Seiya when Ikki has to throw Seiya in the air to fight 3 or 4 enemies.
I like the aesthetics and the graphic style (special mention for the square moon)
Amazing! My record is 10! One thing though, after the tenth catch, when I threw the princess back up into the cold night air, the bar that indicates where she'll land disappeared. After that the game kept going on without stopping. Just me and some enemies with no princess to catch.
To give more detail on how it happened, the princess was falling on the right side of the screen and I was in mid run when I caught her. I think I slid to the very right side of the screen then, while holding the princess, and then when I threw her back up, the bar was gone. I hope this is enough information to fix it, but at the same time it seems like one of those super rare errors that will probably never happen again.
I'm glad you liked the game and thank you for reporting the bug, it seems indeed that this bug is not very frequent but a friend of mine already had it. I will try to invistigate to find what's the issue. However I don't think I have the right to update the game for bugfixing during jam time so I will have to leave it like that for now. Hope that annoying bug won't happend to you another time if you try again!

Thank you ! I just saw that there was a bugs with the control ! A and D keys weren't working, but I suppose you played with the arrow keys. I'm glad you liked the game ! Tell me if you try again and beat your score !
Why does the control felt unintuitive ? I think they are pretty simple and not different from most games.
Did you fix the bug? The first time I played I could just turn with A&D, and move by hitting repeatedly - soo, yes, that felt unintuitive, altough doable. Now I tried it second time, and it played as it should - no problems, very good. My new record: 9.
Yes that was a really big bug lol I play using arrow keys so I didn't saw it, thanks to your post I've found it and fixed it. I understand now why you were saying it was inintuitive !
