Really got the workings of a solid rhythm game here! The spritework and music are both great. I could see this fleshed out and expanded into something much bigger.

One of my favorite games of the jam so far, excellent work!

Music was sweettt and overall this was an awesome rhythm game. It took me a bit to understand how to play, and I'm still a little confused on how enemies attack, but otherwise great job!

This is one of my favourites so far! I love rhythm games and this one felt really satisfying with really good music that fit a rhythm game perfectly!

It also is a great addition to have the red enemies which take two hits, and the rocks too, as then the game engages you for longer and you still have to pay attention.

My only issues are that I couldn't really tell how close an enemy had to be to hit them, maybe a line to show that, like the line on the bottom of the fretboard on guitar hero, would be a nice addition (or maybe i had to hit them when they lined up with the arrows? idk),

and because your eyes are focused on the enemies, you often dont notice when you lose health, maybe something like the screen flashing red or shaking could add more indication to that.

Well done with this game and good luck!!

Hey thanks for playing the game and I’m glad you enjoyed the song! If I ever come back to this game post-jam those are some great ideas. I thought about designing some kind of field of grass or something else given the limited color pallet as a backdrop so I could put in some kind of line (lawn lines or dirt patches maybe?). I also love that idea about the screen shake with the red, might try to even use something like jsfxr to really emphasize the damage. Good luck to you as well! (btw I love your pingu icon)
