I'm planning to release my patch tomorrow (Thursday), if all goes well. Depending on if it's a good idea, I may patch again. I definitely learned a few important lessons from this jam… especially with the feedback I got from you lovely people. Thanks y'all!
Patch notes
Congrats for your COMPLETE game!!
I loved to see how this has evolved :D
I'm really happy how it turned out! I added the features I announced. Feel free to check out the leaderboard and maybe see how you score against me :D
Thanks again everyone who critiqued and supported during the jam, it was a fun experience.
This game was so much fun! The background is absolutely incredible and the music really suits the game too. Awesome job!
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)
Wonderfully creative use of the theme, and very well executed within the time limit. The visual assets are extremely polished, and the music is nice. Well done.
Thanks for the review and kind words! :)
Fun game! Some of the modifiers seemed a bit unfair (I had a -20% block go off at <10% so it didn't seem like there was a way to win that time. Could have just been me though.) Anyway, love the music and sfx. Good job!
Thanks for the feedback! I've thought about that during development, so there's actually a secret "leeway" timer buffer that lets you live a small amount of time after hitting 0%. It's a pretty small buffer, so you'll still need to kind of time your buttons to when the drops trigger. Thanks for trying out my game, I'm glad you found it fun. I hope to improve it in the near future, based on everyone's feedback!
Sneak peak at the online leaderboard feature I've been working on. More to come. Thanks for the suggestion @Manuel Rincón
Super awesome! Also a leaderboard (not daily) and the option to swap between both would leave the game finished.
Sorry if I am very stubborn. I really liked the game
Amazing work, it looks lovely!
I'm really happy to hear anyone trying out my game! Thanks for playing :D
I like the concept for the game and it definitely was well executed. My main gripe is I did not initially understand why the bar randomly jumped up until after a couple plays I noticed the boxes hitting the bar with percentages to be added or subtracted, putting in something to inform of the boxes would be a great improvement if you plan on continuing working on it after the jam.
Thanks for trying the game out. I will try to address the visual clarity of the boxes and their effects in the future. Appreciate the great feedback, it's truly helpful!
Perfect! Super polished!
My only "issue" was that I find not very intuitive when the "+/-X% " are going to be applied to the bar.
With that and a daily leaderboard, this game will rock!!!
My favourite game of the jam. Congratulations for your super good work!
Wow, thanks for the truly kind words. I agree with your feedback, I'd like to make those things clearer. A daily leaderboard is also a great idea! Thanks for playing!
I love how simple and polished this game is! Had fun. Good job.
I appreciate you trying out the game! Thanks for the kind words
Very cool! Had lots of fun with this one. Great job all around.
Thanks for playing! ❤️
Wow, it is a megaperfect game! Gameplay, art and music are all great!
I have one question - why percent bar sometimes becomes gray/semitransparent? Is it just animation? Can't catch the reason if there is one while focusing on the game :(
😂 Thanks so much for playing, and so happy you enjoyed the game!
For your question -- you may notice there's box "drops" that drop onto your bar as you progress. The gray ones make part of the bar obscured for a small time so it's harder to see (as you progress the amount that it covers increases). It's intended to make you rely less on visuals to time your presses.
p.s. 9000 score is amazing! My highest is 7550, and that was hard to get. Nice job!
Ah, I see, thanks for the answer :) I probably didn't see the gray box because of the background.
Ahh interesting, that's good feedback for me. After the jam, I'll try to make everything more intuitive to visualize, and add some more cool stuff I didn't have time for.
