Thanks for playing!!

Thank you for your kind words!

Great usage of the theme! I was a little confused about what to do on the level with the multiple warp pads, but the music and visuals were great. As other commenters have said, some quality of life changes with movement may have been nice, and I personally would have liked to see some animation and soft sound effects when moving around. Overall, great job!

Thank you so much!

Thank you for playing!

I totally agree with the extra action. That was part of my original plan, but I didn't have time to implement it. Definitely something to keep in mind for next time! Thank you for playing!

Thank you!

Thanks for playing! Fair enough with regards to the theme. I was unsure how better to fit it into this concept. I appreciate the feedback!

Very enjoyable. Put a smile on my face :)

Thank you, I appreciate the kind words!

I found the game difficult, but the audio and visuals were well designed, and I loved the concept. I definitely think something like this could be really awesome if made a bit easier to understand. Well done!

This game is absolutely brilliant. I wish I had thought of it! Great use of the theme, and the visuals and audio are extremely satisfying. I loved it.

Wonderful idea for a short game jam like this. The visuals are great, and the addition of the regenerating health makes the game much less trivial. You should be proud.

Wonderfully creative use of the theme, and very well executed within the time limit. The visual assets are extremely polished, and the music is nice. Well done.

Nice background, but I'm pretty sure those sprites are not free to use, haha. I played until I got to a level that was impossible to complete due to the placement of the blocks. While it was fairly buggy, well done for completing this game within the time limit!

Very well done. Wonderful visuals and audio. The sound made killing the moths feel very weighty. Initially, I didn't read the description, so I didn't realize that I needed to lure them to the outskirts to kill them. In doing so, I gathered a lot of moths, and got a huge score bonus.

I played with a keyboard and mouse, but it seemed to be designed for a touchscreen. Nice audio and sound effects, and a simple art style, which was nice. A very short game. Overall, good job, though I'm not sure how it fit into the theme.

The premise was confusing until I played it once and failed. Eventually, I filled the bottle, but was still told I had failed, and was uncertain about the clear condition. It feels more like a guessing game. Still, a nice idea!

Definitely some potential here. Give it another try with what you've learned!

Honestly, great game. Very simple and well executed. You didn't become too ambitious, and just delivered well on a simple concept. Well done!

A fun concept! There was nothing stopping me from just mashing the central button and getting through the game, which ended up causing a crash. Still enjoyed myself!

Really nice concept! The goals were slightly unclear at first, but I was able to figure things out. Well done!

Looks great, feels very fluid and polished. I was a little unsure about whether there were any repercussions behind getting OK or Perfect on a level. Great game!

I appreciate the feedback, thank you for playing!

Thank you for playing! I really appreciate your feedback, and will definitely take it into consideration!

I made this silly game as a fun Christmas project. Years ago, I drew a picture of Santa with an eyepatch and a gun in MS Paint, and that drawing has been a legend among my friends ever since. I decided to make a game based on that idea. I hope you all enjoy!

Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the mechanics. I definitely agree that the enemies and knockback could use some more work. I'll keep this in mind for my next game!

Wow. Just a great game. Amazing sound, fun visuals, and really creative traversal mechanics. I absolutely loved it! The only thing that I might add is I kept dying because I suck, so more forgiving checkpoints (maybe every time you got an upgrade) would be nice. Great work! You should be proud.

I enjoyed my time with this game! I didn't beat it, but I really liked the visual style, the animations, and the music and general feel. There were a few bugs - when I fought the first boss, I died, and had to come back and fight her again. The second fight did not show her health bar, but I still defeated her as normal. Overall, I think this was a great game, and you should definitely be proud of what you accomplished!

Thanks for playing! I appreciate the feedback, and I absolutely agree. The boss was added fairly last minute, so I didn't get to add everything I wanted...next time!

Really cool vibe and nice use of lighting! I agree with other comments that the aerial movement was difficult to control. I liked the quick attack, although I noticed it kind of being displaced when I run - it seemed almost like a short projectile rather than a melee attack. I got a bit lost and didn't get very far into the game itself, but I enjoyed my time with it!

Loved the art style of the game! Very creative to have a ranged attack like that as the basic attack rather than a melee attack like most metroidvanias. I would have liked to have a constant display of where my cursor was, instead of only when I moved - I would often forget where it was, and shoot opposite of the way of an enemy when I encountered one.

The game could have benefitted from some more polish (smoothing out platforms and terrain, more sound, maybe some music) but overall this was great, and showed a lot of promise. This is definitely the kind of game I'd give a try if it was fully fleshed out. Thanks for making it!

I enjoyed your game! Like others have said, the spear mechanic to leave the boss fight was difficult, but I didn't give up, and I managed to get out. You did a great job implementing all the environmental and character sprites, the game looks great. I think the level design is nice as well.

I would say that having a faster melee attack would have been nice - it did feel a little slow. Also, having enemies react more to getting hit may help combat a bit. The fire mages, for example, would keep shooting me, even when I was hitting them with my sword. Having some hitstun for them might make me more willing to charge in and attack instead of hitting once and running away again.

Overall though, great work!

Beautiful game, very clean and responsive. The movement in particular feels great, especially around corners and other tricky areas. Well done! I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this game. And pure Javascript is definitely very impressive!

Thanks for playing! I agree, I definitely would have liked to add some more backtracking and depth to the map.

Thanks for playing, and for the comment!

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked the heart container placement. Absolutely agree that coyote time would have been helpful - I actually didn't even know what that was before I got some feedback, haha. Will be looking to add that next time. I appreciate the feedback!

Really loved your game! Overall, it was absolutely beautiful, between the music, art, and effects around the environment. The spear mechanic was clever. I did manage to use it to clip out of bounds on numerous occasions, though. I was actually able to get past the key door requiring the 12 shards by clipping out of bounds and hitting the loading zone. Really well done!

Thanks for playing! I appreciate the feedback. I definitely agree that it was a bit too linear - unfortunately, I didn't leave myself enough time to design the level in such a way that it had multiple paths. I hope I can plan my time out a bit better next time.
