The fun part is being in the unknown and then finally getting to the safety. You should explore that if you wanted to continue with this concept!

The concept is nice but you can see that you have had little time to take care of the details. 3 hours is very short, but it makes it even more interesting to see how much work you have done.

At first I had a hard time understanding the game. And the lack of background makes it difficult to notice the movement.

But the idea behind the game is beautiful

Hi!
It's a nice concept and has a lot of potential to be improved in the future like enemies and wind direction.
Half the time I don't even know if I am even moving or not because of the lack of a background.
Still, a good concept and a good game made in 3 hours

Developer

thank you very much.

You are right it is missing a lot of stuff to make it actually work. But maybe if I have the time I can work on it.

This would be much nicer if there was something happening on the ground as you fly towards the next destination, like some terrain passing below you. But I guess that all requires time. :)

Yeah, not showing your bird on the minimap made the aiming a bit hard.

I also noticed a few bugs. I managed to land outside of the island. And also, after visiting an island, my health didn't drop for like 8 seconds after I left the island. I mean, it did drop, but like to 98, and then it would jump to 100 again...

I really liked the pixelated bird, though 😊

Developer

thank you for the feedback.

Yeah I had it all planned :D, but I focused on too much things from the beginning. Next time I need to plan it better before I start.

Hey Dani!

really cool, that you have joined the Jam!

Nice take on the theme, its pretty cool to fly the albatross across the ocean. Its a little bit difficult to guess where you are on the mini map. I missed the first (or second) island on my first try ...

And also a pretty cool making of video!

I made a Video playing your Game :-)

Hey Lukas,

thx a lot. Yeah I had much more in mind for the game but I wasn't as good prepared as I thought :D.

I think thats part of the game trijam.

I have also planned in advance, then cut the scope in half before my 3 hours started, then dropped even more features during the 3 hours and still haven't implemented everything that has been left...

In the spirit of "fail early, fail often" the trijam is perfect to learn about game development and on how you as a developer work.

true :)

The long flight over the ocean really gets you into the mood. Nice adoption of the theme.

Developer

thank you so much. Glad to hear it.
