I love the seasons twist on tetris! This made the game more exciting for sure! Winter was rough! :D Excellent!
I like it. When the tetramines started to disappear I understood the connection with the theme. And I think it's brilliant. I made the mistake of trying your game while I was on lunch break: I'm afraid I came back to work late because of you: D
I am amazed at how a small variation of a classic game can transform the game itself so much. I like very much.
hey!
this is a really cool take on this classic.
I love tetris. my first idea for this jam was also a tetris variation. I really enjoyed it, its cool how the blocks melt and wither.
I made a video where I played almost all games, but you have submitted late, right?
Yeah. I submitted after the deadline. Got too busy over the weekend.
Thanks for the kind words.
And no worries about the video. Maybe next time ;)
Hi
It's a good take on tetris. I am so used to the swap feature lol so it was a bit tough for me.
I lost 3 Tetris because of the summer T-T
My max score was 7661 :P
Hey, thanks for playing.
Yes, I was thinking about the swap as well as the holding to move the pieces, so it's not the most polished version. But you know, time constraints :)
My max score is 35k, but I'm a piano player and I can type fast :) hahaha.
Thanks for posting your score, this gives me a good gauge on how difficult it is to people. It was hard for me to decide on the speed up as the seasons go by.
It's a really creative idea actually, idk how did you came up with the idea. i just think when the block started decaying there's just too much if them that decaying, but it's a really cool mechanic think. if it could be expanded to full game it should have been, but it just kinda hard to expand tetris lol. idk, i never played tetris effect
I am a big fan of small variants on core mechanics in games. I have like a bazillion of ideas like this. I haven't played Tetris effect either.
But I agree about the summer, too much of them are changing. Also, the worst possible thing happened in my design, which I didn't know how to go around. The fact that the Fall comes after the Summer. So, after the summer leaves you with a total mess, the fall comes with a speedup, and then the Winter comes without the ability to slide pieces in. So, yeah, the seasons are thematic, but then again, not kind towards the player.
But of course, there could be other interpretations of the particular season, or I could activate only 5th season (so that at most one season per year has an effect applied).
honestly, if this game was made within the time limit im pretty sure this could easily get the first spot. i think this was the best game in the jam ive played
oh yeah, the control is kinda ankward, took a while before you really could get a grasp into it
Сool version of tetris!
1186, maybe i'm not the best player🤷♂️
Thanks for playing. Yeah, 1186 is kind of low, but I am sure part of it is the lack of holding a button to quickly move. I've found out that my wrist tires too quickly without that feature. But yeah, it's not a commercial version of tetris (a term I'm avoiding for copyright issues).
Cool effects on the bricks. I think participating and creating something is what is important not how long it took you. Keep up doing it, Well done :)
Hey, thanks for playing. I agree about participation and completion. That's why even though late I endured and actually finished something. Of course, it can be polished and improved ad infinitum, but this is as much as I considered complete.
