I really like the concept! I would be a target audience for this kind of a game. I did only 1 episode per season, which I guess made it really easy to spend a lot of money on advertising and get the money rolling in fast! :D There could be challenges as "actors leaving" etc. to make it more fun, but I did enjoy the concept!

Hi!
It's a very unique take on the theme.
I like the game, but the text was very slow. I made a series with 12 episodes and by the end I was getting a bit bored and just wanted to finish it fast.

Otherwise it's a good concept

Developer

Thanks. Yes, I have to change the speed of the text.

I think the problem was due to not having tested the game well.

I saw that you have 28 minutes of bug fixing for your game. I have dedicated much less of it and this is one of the consequences. I think that for the next TriJam I will have to find a way to test the game better.

Made the biggest TV Series ever ;). I had quite fun to see the numbers rising although I could not figure out what influences what exactly.

Cool Idea and well made.

Oooops, I might be here a long time. 😊

Interesting game and I really like the flat graphics.

I'd mention only two things I had issues with:

  • It's not obvious how the number of each of the things you can purchase will influence the end result, so I ended up with 6 actors and 10 musicians, but I don't feel the game provided any hints of what would happen if I had only one actor and one musician. I did make a big profit after 6 or 7 episodes, but still, it felt a bit random.
  • Since I selected to run thru 2138 episodes, the text showing me the results of each of the episodes was too slow.

Other than that two, very nice entry 😊

Developer

Thank you!

1. You're right, it seems that things are random. This is because... they are random. Not completely, but I haven't thought about the values for the various components well enough and that's the result.

2. Yes, the text is too slow. This should teach the importance of testing the game settings well without using god mode

I would have liked to add some explanations about the effects of actors, musicians and more. And I would also have liked to add the ability to vary the length of the seasons during the game itself. But I got stuck both for the lack of time and for some design errors.

I am evaluating the idea of continuing the development of this game.

I'm so gald somebody actually took the "seasons of a TV Series" approach.

And you made it a text game, too. All in all a cool game. Seems a bit easy, though. After the first season I made way more money with each episode than it cost me. And i could just hire one more of each type of worker. And the text is a bit slow.

Still, i enjoyed my little excursion into the film industry.

Developer

Thank you!

Yes, the text is too slow: I underestimated this aspect. I concentrated on the graphic effect without thinking about the contraindications. I'll have to remember it for the next Trijam.

I didn't have time to balance the game: the values and effects are almost random. In my intentions it wasn't meant to be. I think I made the wrong choice of values: I should have thought more carefully before I started writing the code.

I mean, it's fine.

I don't mind an easy game for a jam game. Better too easy than unbeatable in my opinion.

And I had fun feeling like the most capable film producer in the world :D

hey!

cool concept! the text could run a little bit faster after the first run. the colors and icons are beautiful!

I made a Video playing your Game :-)

Thanks. And thanks also for the nice reviews of all the competitors in your videos.

Yes, I think you're right: the text should be faster

you are very welcome :)

Clicking on each icon is too long when the amount of money reaches hundreds of thousands, and for millions I didn’t even try to improve anything, maybe an increase in the cost of improvement or the ability to improve them a few per click would solve the problem.

Nevertheless, I really like the graphic style. The icons are very beautiful.

Developer

Thanks!
I wanted to add the ability to "buy" multiple items at a time. And to insert a brief description of the effects of each purchase. But time was running out.

Thanks for trying my game
