Very interesting gameplay that gives a lot of freedom to the player, which makes it so much more fun! For further replayability you could add collectibles, but otherwise, this is already looking like a cool prototype! Excellent work!
Thanks again for playing :)
Very cool concept.
It'd be nice if the robot didn't look like... that...
The robot can look like however it wants in its dreams :D
(My artistic skills aren't that great, sorry)
What I was referring to has nothing to do with your skills as an artist, but rather the robot's very particular shape.
Ah, I see... and now I can't unsee
Really liked the programmability aspect to it. I'd love to see more options and obstacles though as I think this could be a really neat introduction for kids to basic robotics concepts.
Thanks for the feedback :) Cheers
Wow! This is an really cool concept! Good job. (Also congrats to your first Godot Project :D)
Thanks, I enjoyed using Godot. This won't be my last Godot Project
Cool stuff, I like these kinds of games.
Though, you should limit the player somehow, either by only being able to place blocks on the ground or only being able to place a specific amount of blocks.
As it is now some levels can be cheesed by building "stairs" of up-blocks to the goal.
Quite fun, either way. :)
Glad you had fun!
I was thinking of a 3-star system (like I mentioned in a another comment) but I had little time to implement and test it.
So I decided to keep it on the easier side, to be safe ;)
Good choice :D
Cool! With more visual feedback, like an jeckpack instead of jumping, the game would be complete. Just a refinement in level design, as limitations, so you don't complete it just using the jump and your prototype will be amazing!
Thanks for your kind words :)
I'll what I can do with this after the jam is over
Needs some sounds.
And it is always nice to see people trying their own art, but I think it could be improved a little, it has a mspaint feel to it. I guess making it more pixelated/square would solve that.
It would be interesting to see some limits to the use of the commands, maybe make it all free at first, but once you start over you get to complete the levels using 1 less block then before, or something like that
Thanks for your feedback!
This game was a little rushed as I was learning Godot while making it. I was cutting it close with the time so I forgot about sounds :(
Also, the sprites you see were done in the first five minutes and I was meant to redo them at the end
The initial plan was to use a 3-star rating system e.g. complete the level with 5 blocks to get 3 stars, 7 blocks for 2 stars and 10 blocks for 1 star. But getting the blocks working in the first place took longer than expected...
Hi!
I really liked the command system, gives the game a bit more mechanical feel.
Hi!
Thanks for checking it out
I really enjoy the command mechanic, reminds me a bit of Lemmings!
I'm glad you liked it; thanks for playing!
