How long was your dev time?
Around 2 hours. Unless I need to count the time where I was just copying the dialogues from the book to the game... That took me an eternity.

The text looks nice.
Neat approach to a visual novel. I'd love to see you expand on the sound and visual effects to further embellish the story.
Continue this experiment after the jam! It is very cool. More sound effects will even improve the player experience
I read this story as I searched for inspiration for this TriJam!
The layout you made was pretty cool :)
My only suggestion would be to start with LVX-1's name a little higher. It's name is the only one that moved when it had different lengths of speech
Thanks. Yep, I even had to split one of his dialogues because it was too big, going up close to Linda height lol
Really awesome experience! The effects really add to the whole experience!! I really liked you using a different typeface for each character, monospaced for the robot works well!!
Thanks. You noticed the fonts lol That was the idea, fill it with details, sounds, etc. After the jam (hopefully I'll have not lost interest) i will revisit it and do those add-ons.
Really pleasant experience playing throught this book =)
Hi!
It's a nice idea and the effects are pretty good. Not sure if it counts as a game though.
Does TellTale games counts as games? And vast majority of visual novels without real options to impact the story? =)
TellTale games and visual novels usually have choices, which brings an element of interaction to it. I get your point, there are VN with no choice option, which are just a form of story in the end. If I have to just read some text by clicking, what makes VN different from E-books?
I am not trying to blame the OP, they have done a great job porting a novel into a VN type scenario. I am just questioning if could actually be considered as a 'game' or not
Don't worry. The time limit really "killed" my chances to polish it. Ideally, every dialog would have sounds and background sounds. And some blurred/undefined images would show according to the situation. So it is a visual novel without visuals lol
