Aiming is hard but the visuals are great. With some more time it could be really great.

Visuals are fantastic !  Love the pulsing projectiles.  I like the controls, but like you said, a little hard aiming.  Would it be easier if the projectiles came at you faster?  Then you could see and get a feel for the projectile's path.  Or, what if the projectiles came at you in 1 of 9 paths (grid of 3 x 3).  They would then be more predictable.  Just random crap thoughts I had.

You should put another couple hours into it ... at least.  Good Pew Pew Fun !

Thanks! I actually have put a few hours in since and it controls much better now (amongst other fixes). I was even working on fancier animations and such. I should be able to upload a post-jam version soon!

Cool !  I will give it a whirl.

Holy .. well I can't play this at all, the camera feels so very disorienting but I've also never played Starfox (just the gamecube one with the dinosaurs which was... not good.), but for 3 hours this is suuuuuch a solid foundation. I'm very impressed. Also feels artistically solid which is very rare even for game jams with much more dev time.

The controls and feel are definitely one of my main focuses with more time. I need to sit down with star fox 64 again and try to figure out what kinds of affordances they’re making to make it feel so smooth for aiming and motion, since there is definitely some wizardry going on. Thank-you for playing! :)

Really cool 3d game, I'm always impress when someone make a 3d game in so little time ! Great job, I'm sure the game will be better when you'll improve some features on it after the jam :p

In this case I tried really hard to spend minimal time on the assets and I still spent like 30 minutes in Blender doing the 3d modeling of the ship, but I think that’s actually less time proportionally than I’ve typically done on 2d pixel art for jams. 3D has its own big challenges for sure but the Godot engine also made the basic setup for a lot of that stuff a breeze. Thanks for playing!

Praiseworthy foundation work for three hours. Nice name, too. A little bit painful when the camera jerks back and forth if I try to adjust just a little bit. Hope you expand this, the world could always use more Star Fox.

Thanks! Someone in my chat deserves credit for reminding me that fennecs are a small fox :D I might try to expand it later just because I want it to feel better and have some type of progression
