I am a sucker for pixel art. Clever idea. The key to these jams is managing scope. That allowed you to create music, a few SFX, and good looking track. Love it ! This'll be tough to beat. (Oh, and I got 11 - not bad right?)
Anything over 10 is great in my book :D
My best score was 12.. couldn't beat you...
But overall fun little game. I like that you need to balance between inner and outer ring while drifting
Just collision detection feels a little bit of the sprite. Maybe if you would change sprite to something else would be better.
And in later game it feels that you don't have time to react when you see a spike (maybe I am just to old for this)
But other than that really nice little game I played it for quite a while :D keep up the good work!
Thanks, dude! I made the collision shapes a little smaller than the sprites to give players a little bit of leeway
Honestly, the precision of something like this feels like it would lend itself better to a level format, maybe in the style of Geometry Dash or the like. I like the simple concept, and I definitely think this has potential!
Thanks for the encouraging feedback :)
Very cool. I like that it ramps up the speed the further you get but it seemed to jump quite a after a while, which might need to be tempered a bit, but otherwise a really neat concept. Could totally see this as a mobile game.
Thanks for checking it out!
My best score is 17! Really liked you game :)
Nooo, you beat me!
Thanks :)
Its hard to react when you see a spike, maybe you should put something to say where the spike is gonna be before it appears. Except that, great job :p
Good point :) The spike actually appears where you were a second ago. So if you was on the left, one second later a spike will appear there
