A story game is no small feast, so congrats for having tried that format :) especially in a short amount of time.
It's great that you took the time to give some visual effects, and, as other says, the music fits perfectly.
Also, as other have said, maybe a little bit more player interaction would have been great, but in 3h there's isn't much you can do. So congrats, I enjoyed my time in the game :)
Thank you very much.
Music fit perfectly in with the game! A very simple story but one that is powerful none the less. If you wanted to expand upon the game further, each level could be a short platforming segment where you have to collect part of the poem.
Oh my gosh. You actually guessed what I had originally planed for the game in my head. But the game jam was only three hours and I had to look reality in the face.
This could make a good story. Would have liked more interactions.
Also, you should use spellcheck, especially when the story is a major part of the game.
Sorry I tried to spell check but I'll was getting close to three hours and I started to rush a bit. Plus I can't spell to save my life. So sorry about that.
I wouldnt really call this a game...... its just a story. tbh I probably would have enjoyed it more if the text was just written on a google doc because the scrolling text was hard to read. Although the part at the start is a good mechanic you could easily make into a game, just make there be a time frame where you have to help them, and make it much faster paced.
I'll deferentially look into it if I continue the project. This was my first attempt of making a story game (Or interactive novel as itch calls it). Thanks for the feedback!
