TTRPG ideas and help!

In light of the coming new year, I wanted to create a topic about our various ideas for our games, what systems we are using to fuel them, and the like! I, myself, am using a modified version of the LUMEN system mixed with the Year Zero Engine in order to  create a Horizon Zero Dawn x Monster Hunter TTRPG, since I've been wanting to play in a Horizon Zero Dawn-style campaign for a while now!

That sounds awesome! I need to install and play Horizon Zero Dawn (probably after January). It's just been sitting in my game library, looking at me everytime I install some other game.

I'm intrigued by the Lumen-YZE combo and excited to see what comes of it. It sounds like a grand experiment!

My own project will likely (still time to change it up!) be a Cozy OSR game. I've been pondering on the idea of reframing the OSR playstyle in less intense circumstances. I want the challenge and problem-solving to be there, as well as some element of the "lethality,"  but smoothed over so that 0 HP isn't death, it's more of a "I'm tired of adventures. I'm going home!" situation. Less elves and fighters, more "I live in the house with all the cats!"

Sounds awesome!!!
I am gonna be working on a solo player fantasy TTRPG centered around dice tricks where the player fights monster-gods in service of more humanish ones. Not necessarily using any previously existing system but I love exploring insane roll resolution system and I can explain my plan if anyone is curious. It will take a lot of inspiration from Roguelikes as a genre and Shadow Of The Colossus

This is my first shot at doing something public facing rather than just my regular group. A friend gave me an offhanded challenge to do Hard Sci-fi but with spell casting, not just magic in sci-fi, something that makes sense in the setting. I’ve got a concept percolating, but not much else. I haven’t written anything, just a few sticky notes here and there. I had an idea for a name, but it turns out there’s already a table top miniatures game using it that I'd never heard of.

Reading all these ideas, I can't wait for the month to be over so I can see all these new games.

Personally, I have also been putting together a large and complicated system over the last year, so for this I think I'd rather work up something completely different. A friend sent me a tweet about a game whose attributes are Gumption, Chutzpah, Moxie, Childlike Wonder, the Cut of My Gib, and A Certain Je Ne Sais Quoi. I came up with something goofy on the spot which has been in the back of my head since.

I'm super influenced by Ars Magica and Thousand Year Old Vampire in this moment, so it will probably take notes from those. Very excited to get to work, and to see what everybody else puts together!

I'm (tentatively) going to work on a post-apocalyptic game about a plague of nanobots/nanotech using the Caltrop Core system.  Probably.  I have an idea I like, but since I just started, I'm not sure where I'll end up or what I'll be using for sure.

Oooo, I love to see a good d4-based game!

Well, we’ll see about “good” 😂

Have this idea kicking around in my brain for awhile, but I always envisioned it as part of a larger project. ... Well maybe it will be someday, but for now I'm going to see if I can make my list of weird patrons for fantasy roleplaying into just a little stand alone thing.  I've got ideas for a few patrons already, but I'm going to actually see if I can get 12 done before the end of the month along with a very simple freestanding system for courting their favor and avoiding their ire.

Today I wrote an outline for the project, including a list of my top contenders for patrons I would like to realize.
Not sure if I can get 12 pieces of art done, to go with it. Maybe I can scrub creative commons for something, but they are so weird I dunno.

Good luck y'all

I've tried out various versions of a "fantasy" sports RPG and am having another crack now!

Using my friend Peter Lattimore's DODECA engine as it has a very robust, grid-based tactical combat engine which I think is totally suited to this type of game. It's also based around a D12 dice pool system (the clue is in the name) and I really love dodecahedrons.

Not putting any pressure on myself to produce anything other than the sketchiest of sketches, but will keep showing my working as the game progresses!

Here is an earlier iteration from a few years back, for a clue as to the flavour:
