The first thing I tried to do was save scum right at the end to see what would happen and discovered I couldn't, which is an incredibly funny way of realizing that the game does prevent save scumming at decisions.
The twist at the end is clever narratively but also for creating a seamless NG+ that will lead players into exactly what they intend to do anyway, without starting from zero again. Very well designed.
The character lines having small font made it hard to read. I have a pretty big laptop monitor but the choices at the bottom of the screen and the clicker upgrades were all kind of cramped at the bottom, and I could only see at max one clicker upgrade or two dialogue choices at once.
It was a fun game to play, really impressive that this was made with Twine. The mini-game was fun at first, but it gets a bit boring quite fast (that's more of a clicker game problem than anything else).
It was a bit annoying that clicking on some options were not registering right away (though I saw that it was already a known bug) and that the sound effect was this loud.

Thanks so much for playing it! Yeah, the clicker game needs a bit of work with the fun of the gameplay loop - and I suspect the click not registering is because it's how I had to work against the grain to create a faux "live" environment in Twine. :/ It's basically updating the element every few seconds, and if you click during that second of updating, I believe it doesn't register.
It was kind of interesting to make something un-Twiney in Twine, though. Again, thanks for taking the time to check it out. :D
i really like the un-Twiney aspect of it. It really was fun and original to see. I hope you gwt to find a solution for the delay as well :)
i really liked the twist, and i think the clicker gameplay was used in really good tandem with the premise and plot of the game. a small quality of life nitpick i have is that the game's sound effects are a little loud, and there's no volume slider, but that aside, it's good! great work!
Thanks, I was really curious about how the twist would land, and if people would like it or not! You're not the first person to mention the sound, so I'll jump on that with a future update. The sound effect is called in JS, not Twine, so I've got to figure out how to incorporate that into a slider. :)
