Oh my- I feel bad now. I only realized that the spiders won't hit you first near the end of the game. I quite like the premise, and the art was good. My main complaint would be the same as megarontv, that is, that it can be hard to see what's interactive. I mostly had trouble noticing the small "floating" platforms, since they look very similar to the background. It didn't cause me too much trouble, though, and overall I'm quite glad I played!
The combat in this game is pretty satisfying in that running through a mass of spiders with my sword and clicking wildly yields the same results as if I were playing Warframe.
The visuals were nice, though I was a little bit confused about the trees being obstacles while looking like background objects. I might also recommend changing the font because my old man eyes had a tough time reading some of the stuff, but that might just be a "me" problem.
The biggest surprise of all the games I've played for this collection, though, is the twist ending. I was not expecting that, at all.
In conclusion, this game is exactly as advertised: you're a knight and you're slashing your way through a mass of spiders. The combat is good, the graphics are okay, and the story was surprising. Nice job!
A fun little game. Love the ending. Well done.
Interesting. I thought the attack animation was weak, and had no idea what I was doing the first time. Not much thought given to enemy placement. There was a jump which was almost impossible. Then I read some of the comments and played through again. Why didn't I realize it sooner... that I was killing my own brethren?
Felt bit fast for me, the jumps was very punishing and i coudnt go to far on the platforming. Good graphics tho
I liked the idea behind the game - that the entities are inherently peaceful and that you are the monster at the end of the day (I accidentally discovered they wouldn't hit you on my second attempt). It was a solid platformer, but I wish there was more variation or platforming complexity. I loved the design of the main character, the spiders and the weird tall fellas at the end. great job :)
Not a bad game, but also not too interesting. Good graphics and not a horrible twist, though :)
Well done, but maybe the AI are little bit too slow to react (you can finish the game without hitting any monster)
Yes it is intentionl that they dont attack, They are Innocent. Oh poor spiders.
Cool game! I think that you should have spent time polishing the gameplay and mechanics though. Sound effects, particle effects, screen shake, and feedback would have made the game feel more lively. Also, the spiders didn't attack me if I didn't attack them. Is that on purpose? It is still very impressive for a game jam game. Great job! Play my game if you get a chance!
Controls felt a bit odd but got used to it pretty good fun the audio was a bit too loud but my game suffers with that issue too
The visuals of this game was nice. I was tricky at first but then got easy. I was able to get to the end and was expecting a level end and transition to the next level. The tall character never attacked me. I was able to pass the rest of the level by just running on top of the cactuses. A few critiques would be spend more time on the mechanics. Add lights and shadows and make the environment dark and spooky, All and all I like the spiders and the artwork was nicely done. Keep up the good work!.
I like the idea behind this game and the theme has a lot of potential, but there is definitely some work that needs to be done to improve the enemy AI and the platforming. Good work!
