Incredible concept! Maybe adjust the contrast a bit - sometimes it gets too light or too dark and the circles are a little hard to see. Anyways, great job!

The game looks very polished, well done! I like the atmosphere, and the music fits really well into the game. I couldn't quite figure out what was going on with the black things and whether there was some remedy/pattern to how/why they formed, so I didn't get too far into the game, but overall it was very relaxing to play!

Also, the windows version seems to be built in debug mode, was it meant to be like that? If it was built for debug, it does little to no optimization to the game, and I feel like the game could use some optimization since it can be slow sometimes. (mostly taking this info from here: https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/development/compiling/introduction_to_the... )

Thanks for the comment!  The black (virus) blobs are randomly created and are more likely to be created the longer you play and the bigger you become.

I am aware that the game is in debug mode.  When I built a version with it off, the game had several new bugs that I didn't know how to fix.  So in the interest of time, I just released the debug mode.  I think there are some more fundamental issues with the code that need to be fixed before I can turn off debug mode and get a performance boost.

Ooh I see how that works, thanks for the explanation.

Sorry to hear you got more bugs in the release! Yeah that makes sense to put the game in the debug mode then. Well, at the end of the day, it's all a learning experience anyway :3

this was super relaxing to play! I got some big Osmos vibes, which is a good thing - I love that game. You added your own pleasing art style as well, and the music was nice to settle into. I know someone else mentioned it, but I like the parasites - definitely wasn't expected, and kept me on my toes. Once I figured it out though it was well communicated visually.

Nice little game :) Though there are some techincal issues I feel like you did a great job in the style department - it looks and sounds very nice indeed!

Nice job :)

Thanks for the comment!  Yeah, unfortunately there are some performance issues that I can't really remove without a lot more rework.

Very cool relaxing game play experience, like the concept and the art. I don't know if this helps you, but the terminal threw a bunch of memory errors when I ran the game, but I didn't really see any issues with the game when it was playing, maybe a little bit of not smooth movement.

Nice cell simulator! I especially like the simple art style. A parasite that eats you is also a nice gameplay addition. Though the performance is not great, it didn’t stop me from enjoying the game.

The game logo instantly reminded me of Russian folk art for some reason. :-)

Thanks for the nice words!  And I see the relation between this image and the thumbnail.  When designing the game I tried to ensure that every feature scaled well, but had enough variation that the game world wouldn't quite be a perfect fractal.

Hey Nice Game, The audio was cool and so was the visuals, The performance however,  when I got bigger and bigger was a problem

Huh, I'm not sure why you stop hearing sound after the main menu.  I'll have to look into that.  I haven't played Donut County, but I see the similarity.  Thanks for the comment!

The music and visual style is really good. I did not really understood the gameplay idea, but I did have fun moving around in the interesting and colourful surroundings.

Thanks so much for the comment!  The gameplay focuses around defeating mini-bosses which give you keys (polygons) that you can use to unlock the final boss.  And there are a few obstacles in the way of you doing that.  I had a lot of trouble getting the mechanics right and they definitely will need some more tweaking if I decide to return to this project.
