Great work! TOok me forever to figure out that both buttons shoot and one button strafes. It was really fun to just spam them and shoot really quickly.

Thanks! Yes, the tutorial could be a bit more in detail :D I actually did further work on this game the last week to publish it on the Google Playstore and added a real barrel roll and better explanation of the controls. Its waiting for approval to be published right now.

Really enjoyable game here. Having to use the move button to shoot adds a whole new dynamic to this genre of game. I’ll note that on occasion the inputs seem to be unresponsive. Probably worth looking into the input polling, because I would be spamming the left or right button and sometimes it just wouldn’t work.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback. I think the issue with the input not giving a reaction is how I set it up. Moving left and right is actually checking for Input.GetButtonUp but only if the button is released within 0.1 seconds after pressing it. I didnt make a scenario in pressing a single button for longer than 0.1 seconds so when this happens - nothing happens. I definitely have to look into that, thanks for the hint!

Game is very fun! The action really sucked me in for a long time. Relevance to the theme is nicely done- the whole 2 input idea for not only moving, but also shooting and charging is neat.

Visually very impressive for 48 hours. Other than the death, it looks quite polished as well. I'd encourage you to keep working on the music timing idea (even if it ends up being a different game), the idea of shooting to the beat is very appealing :).

I would definitely get lost a bit in the control scheme. Definitely hard to master (but happens a lot with limited control schemes). I got 7900 for my highest score :)

I had a lot of fun with the game : )

The two-button idea is very well implemented. I also liked the steam pop-ups ; )

The camera is a bit hectic though, which can make it hard to line up shots.

Being constantly shot at and dodging rocks all while trying to get more points was hectic fun! Imma try to get to 5000!

Hey there! Your game is something very unique and I really like the design of it. Even though my hand hurts a bit now from the clicking, I really enjoy it. Keep up the good work! :D

Developer

Thank you for playing and the nice words :) It can be also played with right and left mouse button - this way you can give your left hand a break :D
