Wow man, this game is so fun : )
The music go me all hyped and the game is really addicting for a while.
The shield do kind of block the vision a bit, I don't know if it was intended, but that makes it more hectic.
A very cool game. It was hard for me to see the swords behind the shields, so maybe you could make them transparent or to appear only when a button is pressed, but other than that the game looks pretty good, and the mechanic is very interesting. Thank you for the game!
Well executed, can be a little hard to tell where the swords are going but it gets better with practice!
Cool idea, a little too big hitbox of player and unprecise movement even with gamepad. Had fun tho.
It was sometimes very difficult to see obstacles with the shields but I liked the challenge. Overall it was simple but fun really cool ! ^^
Nice interpretation of the theme. Losing the line of sight adds more challenge to it and makes it more interesting. Nice work!
What even is that sound effect when you block a sword??
It was just something I made in Bfxr trying to sound like clanking metal :P
A nice little game, simple to have a grap on it ! With some vibes close to Beat Saber too ! Great Work :). My main concern being the readability, it's difficult to see through the shields who blocks at least 50% of the screen. Maybe play with the opacity of the shields to be able to see slightly through.
I've been getting a lot of comments about the difficulty to see, so I guess that's a sign I should prioritize adding an option to change that. Thanks for checking out my game!
Good one, got some nice Beat Saber vibes from this, would make a sick VR game which I guess would also help with the sword visibility problem! Keep it up!
Really liked it! Sometimes the shields block the vision from incoming swords but I really think this concept works!
Good game. It has hard to perceive where the swords were coming from, but I got the hang of it. It is a good concept and feels like something that would work best with VR
I really like your game and the idea of it. I fill like if you will want to make something more from this game, you should try to make a VR game based on this, and maybe sell it, because the idea is super fun, and the theme is represented really good.
For the VR idea, you could add like a small shop, coins, maybe more shields which will give you more live while you play and maybe some levels, idk but you game is really fun.
(My highest score was 34 :))
Thank you! I'm glad you liked my game :). It sounds like a fun project for me to learn VR development. And I'll definitely consider the shop idea :D
I enjoyed the game, but it needs time to get used to(at least for me, I used a keyboard), cause most times I'm placing my shields at the wrong places lol. it was fun to play tho. I will continue playing to get used to it. Playing this with a friend will definitely be fun. Was blocking the line of sight your intention as you said in the description? lol. its not a problem tho. Nice game!
Haha, it definitely wasn't the intention at first, but I liked the added mechanic so I kept it :P. It took a while for me to get used to the controls, but that moment when it clicks for a second felt great :D. Thanks for playing!
I've been throwing around the idea in my head about different ways to implement difficulty curves. So maybe there could be an easier mode where the shields are slightly transparent... might be interesting
Yeah I get you. I'm looking forward to the easy mode. but I'll keep trying to get the controls.I played now with a USB controller, the Right Joystick isn't moving the right shield up. I guess I'll stick with keyboard
Darn, there seems to be a lot more issue regarding gamepad inputs than I thought... I might have to explore some customization options in the future for my projects, so I don't run into this issue again. What type of controller were you using by chance? Xbox (360, One), PlayStation (3, 4), something else?
Its a third party Gamepad, not related to any Gaming console, just for PC.
Good Idea. I played with a PS4 controller. Left thumb controlled left shield. But bumpers controlled the right shield? Would have felt better if right thumb controlled right shield.
Pretty fun as is.
Rip. I figured that different controllers would work differently, but hoped it wasn't the case. It's written for an xbox controller :/. Sorry about that.
Wow. I like it a lot! At some point I was so confused with coordinating my left and my right arm, it felt like me trying to defend myself against a swarm of bees. As every game in a 48h game it cann - of course - be polished. Maybe have the speed of the swords start at a lower pace and then slowly increase? Can you imagine doing it for mobile with each thumb controlling one arm? Because I can.
If you feel like it, leave me a rating and comment as well :)

Thanks for the compliments! And yes, it could use a lot of polish :P. I hope the confusion was at least as fun for you as it is for me, haha. I've never worked with Unity's mobile development, but I could see it being a fun project.
I try my best to play through anyone's game who rates mine :). Thanks again for checking out my game!
Cool, kinda like Beat Sabers.
I like the Idea of defeating swords with shields like that and the music is very fitting(could have been a bit more medieval considering the swords).
You did a good Job on showing and picking the controls.
Glad you liked it! I wish I was better at composing my own music, cuz I'd totally love an electronic-medieval cross-over for my music track :D
i feel you, i also have to go search music on the internet every time :D.
A nice resource I've been using recently is http://mrjoshuamclean.com. He hosts a game jam community I'm apart of and has some pretty nice tracks :)
Quite a fun little game you have got there, would be perfect to make it a VR Game
I was thinking about trying that! I've never made something for VR and can't test it myself (no hardware), but it's a fun idea for the future. Thanks for playing!
This feels really good. Surprising amount of depth. I love that you have to move the shields to see everything.
Haha, blocking your view was unintentional at first, but I loved having to balance sight and protection. Thanks for checking it out!
