I couldn't purely playtest purely on the spook you gave me hearing the monsters footsteps in the begining!!! you nailed a scary game so well I-

....was too scared to play

  1. How was the gameplay? Exciting? Fun? Boring? - That gameplayt was straight up intense. The walk animation when I first saw the monster was terrifying! I did notice that when you toss your item, it tosses like it is on the left side of your body, instead of right in front of you. Minor change but wanted to let you know.
  2. What did you think of the map size? - The map was a great size to adventure around. No complaints here.
  3. How did you feel about visibility while playing? - Visibility was still pretty rough and hard to see, but I guess that's the whole point huh. . .
  4. Tell us about your favorite part of the game. - My favorite part was the design of the character for sure. When the pod was chasing during the greybox, I didn't quite get it, but now that was horrific to play.
  5. Tell us about your least favorite part of the game. - I didn't really have a least favorite part.
  6. Thoughts on difficulty? How does it feel on the first run, vs after having more experience with additional runs? - After more runs, I still thought it was both hard and scary regardless of how much the map I knew.
  7. Feedback on any specific mechanics? - Other than what I mentioned in the first point, nothing really.
(1 edit)

I enjoyed the game, didn't found any bugs with what I played and it seems easy to understand, the controls work just fine.

Some things that could be helpful is to make some audio or visual cues when the monster is nearby, I felt that it was a bit more annoying than scary when I got caught out of no where.

I also think that the crosshair should be a bit bigger or more noticeable as it was hard for me to see it especially on illuminated or white areas. Another thing that could be helpful but not a necessity is to highlight items when you're close enough to pick them up makes it easier to see and estimate how far you need to be to grab them.

Other than that great game so far, really scary and entertaining I also like the monster's design makes me jump every time.

Edit: I enjoyed the improvements made to the game, the highlight of pickable objects made it easier for me to know what is interactive especially since the whole game is dark. I think the sound improvements made it much scarier but also help me know when the entity was nearby. I didn't found any problems during my runs, no bugs so far, and I thought the controls were good. I do think some parts are a bit too dark but that's just a little nitpick I have. The paintings having effects is really cool makes them stand out more that I sometimes stood there looking at them eventhough the entity was nearby. I think the game is turning out really good and the changes to the layout of the museum really helps it feel more connected yet still feel like a maze.

1) Great game of excitement, fun and defiantly not boring!

2) Size of Map: The map felt appropriate for the game

3) Visibility : less visibility makes the player question decision.

4) Favorite part of the game: when the monster caught me off guard it

was surprising!

5) Took a few play through to understand but was not bad.

6) Mechanics seem fine
