That was cool, I enjoyed going through the 3D world and the robots look really nice. Viewing feels smooth. I'm gonna be for real, I just went for the knife strat because I didn't realize to use LMB instead of Q for the normal scraps, and obviously lost. 😔 It's a pretty long game for a game jam game and it made my laptop get ready for takeoff with how crazy the fans went. But I enjoyed it so 👍
Awesome game. The feedback I have is mostly already mentioned in the other comments, but im pretty sure I'll be the one fixing half of them when we take up this project to build it out further hahaha. Great work! I also really like how you implemented lore into the game.
This is really really ambitious for a game jam game made in one weekend, but I think it may have been a bit over ambitious. It looks amazing and it is just really cool, but the gameplay is frustrating, not because of difficulty but because it is very hard to place object, and it just doesn't feel like much is going on. Heard that you were planning to continue work on it, which is exciting cause this game does have a lot of promise :D
Make sure to visit the game's page for controls and instructions!
Currently, the game has a few balancing issues, including the robots being too smart, and weapons attached to robots disappearing. The only way to get any realistic progress is to directly attack the robots with a sword. Even if you do this, there aren't enough resources to reach the end of the game. The promised gameplay that would have fit the theme isn't viable, but I know it's going to be in the future.
You already have a vision on things to improve about the game, I want to add a few more suggestions that haven't come up in the discussion:
I really like the aesthetics of the game. I love that you created a fully animated robot from scratch. In terms of visuals and programming this game is super impressive for a 2 day jam. I'm glad you're going to keep working on it, I'd love to play an updated version!
Wow! Thanks so much for the in depth feedback, and thanks for the compliment!
As you have noticed, gameplay wise, the game is still a bit lacking. I was working on adding more weapons, such as nailguns, propane tanks (flame throwers) and a rotor so you can make kinetic weapons. But I had to scrap that because I ran out of time :(
I am going to pick up development with a friend, looking forward to what it might become.
