Definitely a great little game! The music, art, and gameplay fit very well together. Very well done!

What a wonderful relaxing game.  A welcome break among all the action packed games in the jam!!  Great idea for the focus and theme.  I really enjoyed the music and the photography aspect.  Excellent idea to implement the map as well.

Some Suggestions:
- Add a few animals!  I think maybe having a few creatures running or flying around would help add to the ambiance you're going for and make the environment less static.

All in all awesome job, this game has really fantastic potential!  I can't wait to see what you add after the jam :)

Thank you for that experience.

I've reviewed well over 25 games in the past 2 days.

This was a pleasant break for my ears and brain.

(of course here comes the criticism)

-Nothing was really happening. Some water spray, from the waterfall, some shadows of birds over heard, ripples on the water, or just some leaves blowing would have made the world feel much more alive.
-There are a range of bugs/glitches/poor design like:
-You slide whenever you're on a slope.
-There's a tree hovering off of the ground across the road from the rock formation.
-And the game feels like it's chugging/unresponsive. I'm ok with and was expecting slow, but it feels like the game take a fraction of a second or two too long to react to my input.

Again though, pleasant experience amongst a sea of bombastic colorful games.
Thank you.

Thank you for your feedback. I assumed that many games would be more action/concentration heavy, so I thought maybe a calm game would stand out this way. I am happy to hear that I achieved the game experience I wanted.

And yes, your criticism is warranted, I am aware of the bugs. This has been my first 3D game, so there were a few things I simply did not know how to properly tweak to how I wanted them. Also, I know exactly which tree you mean, I noticed it shortly after the submission ended (as these things usually go).
I too felt that the environment was a bit too static. I had some particle effects and the like in my stretch goals list, but unfortunately didn't get to them. Maybe if I work on the game a bit after the jam, who knows.

Thats fair.  :)

Game jam time limited get all of us like that, I had to cut stuff too.

Love the little world you built. So cute and the sound/art fit really well together. The game is super meditative and I really enjoyed it. I was able to find all of the locations except "the lookout". I probably passed through the world ~3 times before I had to give up on it. Overall, very nicely done though!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback. That is exactly the kind of experience I had hoped to achieved.
I know the lookout is a bit problematic. It is the big rock overlooking the valley, south of the lighthouse. It's marked on the map with a red circle, which isn't very intuitive (even when you notice you can hover over the map to see what is what, you don't recognize what this circle means, so you aren't drawn to hover over there). Also in a way it works differently than the other landmarks. While the other landmarks are intended to be photographed, for the lookout rock the intention is to stand at the edge and photograph the whole valley.
