nice game! nice clean graphics and simple straightforward controls and has good replay value, overall I enjoyed playing! keep it up!
i love the art
Really satisfying game, congratulation on the great entry :)
fun little simple game although i think the player should move faster to the sides for better aim
The movement kinda lacking little bit... but other than that it was a great game
I love how polished the game looks. Good work on the detail like the islands, health/ammo drops, and being able to shoot down the rockets. The plane dragging behind the mouse is a little annoying. I think the plane should either follow the cursor completely, or because you'd be able to move too fast, it should just use WASD to move around.
Hi there,
This is a pretty cool little game! Art is charming, audio is good! There's still a few points I think could be better:
really great game, a bit hard but overall its preatty good
Alright, this is the developer's comment about the bug he forgot to fix.
First, there are times that the player can still get hit when its health is already 0 or below. Even that, the number is supposed to display negative numbers. Another thing is that setting the cursor to none was a previous intention. However, due to some complaints, I removed those actions. Turned out that there was one hidden action when the player clicked "Yes" on the Continue button, the player's cursor set to none. I forgot to remove that one last action from the code.
Good looking game, Kenney art? I enjoy a good top down flight shooter but i was kind of hoping for more? I felt the controls were a little slow and once i hit the green plane then i was no longer able to fire. Overall good and simple game , nice job!
Give mine a play if you get a chance https://itch.io/jam/vimjam2/rate/1200495
I think that unfortunately the choice to limit controls to the mouse hampered the overall design - I get what you were trying to do, but due to the plane lagging behind the mouse cursor (and inability to see it), I had issues controlling things well.
Everything else has come together well, although I haven't tried the harder difficulty. Good job on those other aspects!
The design was very clean, but there are a few choices that hamper it a lot. Having the player leg behind the cursor makes the controls feel unresponsive and unnecessarily difficult dodging the bullets. I felt very little difference between normal and hard mode, and the items the enemy planes drop move way to fast, making it nearly impossible to catch them. I also think the opening cinematic had too much text. The map animation was already great at showing what the text explained.
I ran into a few issues like the health displaying wrong numbers and sometimes i just fall from the sky for no apparent reason. My cursor also disappeared after the first attempt which made things a lot harder. Other than that i liked it!
