The ball kept getting stuck on the right edge and had to keep restarting over and over :( Maybe a restart button in the game so you don't have to refresh the page, or maybe slightly angled pieces at the top to stop it from doing that. Movement also felt a little too fast and slidey. But other than that it's a great start and really well done for a game jam game!
This game works well, but it is one of the rare cases that the sliding movement with acceleration didn't feel necessary! It also lacks some polishing , like for example the non-aligned text bothered me more than it should! A quick tip about implementing pixel art to your games: I'm not familiar with unity, but engines usually have a feature while importing assets called filtering, this tries to to smoothen the edges when changing the size of a sprite, giving the corners this fady effect. This should be set to off for pixel art, so the pixels can look much cleaner! I checked your profile to see what other games you have and I discovered this is the only game you got on Itch, so I wish you a great start my friend! Gamejams are great for learning, and please see my review as a learning process! I wish I knew your engine a bit more so I could give more tips. Looking forward to your next games!
thank you for the feedback! It was an awesome learning experience for me, I still have a lot to learn in developing games , i am looking forward in playing your games in future jams
I love brick breaking games like this one, and the music helps in the tense atmosphere. I had problems with some bugs, but despite this it's a good game! :)
thank you for playing! my game is still buggy, especially with ball physics and controls, its a great learning experience, I'm looking forward playing your games in future jams
The game is too hard while moving the accelerating character-board with two keyboard keys. I would prefer to use mouse or to move. I don't like either the feature when the whole level restarts while you miss the ball - then I have a full room with same pieces to break again! You should balance this game more, and also setup the numbers placed off from other UI elements in correct places (in web build they seems so). It's also odd while you have the blocks having different art style onto them than the other graphics has.
Brick breakers does work and people have fun with them build after a build, but this genre shall has polished mechanics or it ain't not fun. Though the playing is challenging which might be a good thing, especially in the prison theme.
thank you for the input! it is a great learning experience for me, and I hope to improve my games in the future.
Your music track was well done and matched the frenetic pace of the gameplay well. I was a little confused by the powerup. Sometimes I'd get it and stay larger for a while, other times it seemed like it was gone after just a few frames.
This was a fun little brick breaker, but I did encounter one bug. I must have hit just the right angle. My ball just kept bouncing left and right and left and right:
Maybe code in some sort of detection that kicks it out of that zone after a certain amount of time, or at least provide a button option to reset the level. I just refreshed my screen entirely and started again. Mr. Boss had to save his employees after all!
Good work.
thank you for playing! I need to work out on some issues like ball physics and polish power up functions, I appreciate the input, and this is a great learning experience for me! I am looking forward in playing your games im future game jams
Your cover is very catchy ! Nice retro vibes. It lacks a little bit of polish, and there is some resolution issue if you're not in 16/9 (not a big problem here). Though fun and nice game.
Thank you for playing ! I still have to learn how to acnchor my text to the canvas properly, thank you for the input, definitely a learning experience, looking forward in playing your games next game jam.
Hey, nice game ! I had a really fun time playing it ;) I really enjoyed the powerups
Do you plan on joining future jams ?
Thank you for playing! yes I'm planning in joining future jams, looking forward in playing your games in the next jam
Great game! sound cut out on me halfway through but that would be my only drawback.. i thought it was a simple design with some cool updated mechanics to it! nice job!
Thank you for playing ! I forgot to loop the music ... it has been a great learning experience , i am looking forward in playing your games in the upcoming jams.
Interesting twist, I'd say the controls were kind of hard to get a hang to, specially because it took too long to slow down, making it hard to quickly get to the ball and stop.
Good idea.
Thank you for playing ! I am looking forward playing your games in the next game jam
Nice game! Good twist on a classic that brings back so many memories. Controls were a bit slippery but rightfully so. I felt like it was necessary to make the players aim for more precise movements. Good Job!
Thank you for playing! I am looking forward playing your games in the next game jam
Interesting take on a classic game of breakout with story elements and not requiring to destroy all blocks to win.

Thank you for playing! Watching the video/review , gave me lots of inputs in order to improve my game / design , it was a great learning experience, I am looking forward in playing your games in the next game jam
I loved the gameplay. Was really simple and great. The only few problems I had were when the ball would get stuck at the top and continue to bounce and never come down. Other than that, it was great.
Thank you for playing! I should have adjusted the randomness of the ball's next bounce , thank you for the input, I am looking forward playing your games in the next game jam
Dang that ball moves fast! I really liked this one, nice and simple easy to play and understand. Good job!
Thank you for playing ! I'm looking forward in playing your games in the next game jam
I think the game should be a little more forgiving, but overall I like that you added item drops and it's pretty well done!
thank you! Looking forward in playing your games next game jam
cool game. although the UI is a bit messed up in windowed mode. might want to scale canvas with the screen size fun game tho
thank you! Im having trouble in positioning my UI text in the canvas though I anchored them , on the corner .
I' m looking forward in playing your games next game jam
