Can I use an extra key for changing the graphics? It would not affect the gameplay in any way, but it would help potato users. 

I'm not an organizer, but the definition of two buttons is "All gameplay uses at most two buttons".

As long as you can complete the entire game without ever using that button, I'm sure it's more than fine.
