VR within VR .. nice concept .. game within a game within a game .. inception level achievement unlocked

Completed the game and its a clever mechanic for the safe code .. good job

So for improvement feedback

- The jump of the 2D character is a little floaty

- The 2D characters hit box is a little unforgiving

- The crouch is a little harsh, height adjustment in VR is a motion trigger for people

- Hand interaction could use a little work

- I would change the button symbol .. as for a moment I was pressing the X on my physical controller until I realized its the big button on the virtual controller .. could make the controller a VR controller and pressing the physical X on the controller in your hand pressed the X on the virtual controller .. so meta .. lol

- Fire clips the fire place so could be a little rotated backwards

But those are minor things .. the main point is your design and game mechanic and that is good

Well done

Fun game! loved the interaction, and the 2d game was killer.  I really like the aspect of mixing the color codes with number codes the double layer adds satisfaction and progression. like the turtle easter egg. I encountered the same problem one time with my hands dissapearing when putting the vr headset in my belt. rad game though.

Fun game! It was satisfying to break the glass! I have to make the confession that I gently punched my face when trying to put the VR headset on lol.

Developer

Glad you liked it! haha sorry about that! I think it's because the hand models are not aligned correctly on certain controllers, were you using PC or Standalone Quest?

really loved the controls and the sweet switching between the VR world and the regular world. Solid game play and how about that 2d Game! What a great concept! I must admit I was at a loss of what to do after beating the 2D game and I couldn't figure out how to get into the safe, but I'm bad at escape rooms in general. Maybe the text on the paper could be bigger or at least let me hold the paper so I can bring it closer to my face and read it myself. Other than that, it was fun!

Thanks a lot! I have to admit, I made the puzzle a bit hard for a gamejam :) I hope you figured out the solution from Justin's playthrough.

pretty good game! nice idea with the 'playing a 2d game inside of a VR game inside of a vr game'. very interesting.

however I found a bug that sometimes the hand just disappears randomly while colliding with something.

Developer

Thanks!! Glad you liked the game, thanks for the feedback, I think the hands have an issue on certain platforms, I have to look into it more.
