Had some initial difficult with moving, but eventually figured it out and enjoyed the game. Overall it was a fun little puzzle game! Fits nicely with the theme! Well done.

Great job, matches the theme well and they were nice little puzzles. Would be great to see an expanison on this with more complex puzzles in the future :)

Developer

Thanks ^^
I admit I'm thinking about that too. A bigger map, more puzzle, more interactive elements, real voices, and maybe a little story? I have no precise idea yet, but I think I can transform it into a nice experience that would last more than a couple of minutes. If I can do that and kepp the peaceful / tranquil atmosphere, it would be awesome

Pretty nice, I liked tossing things around to solve the simple puzzles.

Developer

That's the spirit!

Nice game. Liked elevator at the end.

Developer(+2)

Fun fact, I never manager to move the player up (he was stick at the XR headset position), so instead I move the whole island down.... 😶

Cool. I made a VR elevator for first time a few weeks ago. Yours works a lot different than mine, but couldn't tell by visuals.

Loved your art style here! Combined with the ambience and sounds, I thoroughly enjoyed playing till the end. Creativity was clever too, the mechanic was straightforward but allowed for nice little puzzles.

If you get a sec this week, would love for you to check my out submission and drop a rating! https://itch.io/jam/vr-super-jam/rate/1249489

Thanks! The 3D assets are from Synty studio,  its not free but they do amazing art :) And I took more time than I will admit on finding sounds that fit well. I never found a good sound for the negative feedback tho :/ so I end up putting a computer-error sound.

You are right with the puzzles, it has room for a lot of diversity! I planned to hide some elements in the scenery or even requiring more action to get the elements (like chopping down logs from tree with an axe ), but of course I didn't have enough time for that :p Still there is room for nice ideas with this mechanic.

I already try your game, the atmosphere is awesome, I feel like I'm in a old comic book :) I just need to reach the end before I rate it, but it is definitely in my top 3 submission I prefer

Yeahh the curse of time was brutal! Secrets in the scenery would've been awesome. Maybe you chop down axes from a tree using a log lol.

Ah yes I forgot you had tried mine, I gotta pay more attention when spreading my link lol. Btw, my hint for getting out of that first hole is to angle the shovel *almost* vertical when you're stabbing into the wall. Then it doesn't slide out when you pull on it.

Anyways, again, great work! Till next time.

Hey,

I had so much fun playing this game, it reminded me of an amazing game I had played (https://www.firewatchgame.com/) .
I did not get the 1st tutorial message, so I was not sure what was happening, but the audio and visual clue somehow let me finish the 1st level. After that everything was perfect. The theme was also very well incorporated. Good job!

Of ... Firewatch?!

Thank you!!
Yes I'm so frustrated for the first message, It's the most important message and it's the only one I mistakenly disable AFTER my testing phase  -_-

Well done, very decent experience! Thumbs up!

Developer

Thanks :D

Oho! Did I forget a file while zipping the files? I will take a look right know, thank you for warning me

Developer

Ok I hide the last windows build since it is unusable, and I now show a previous version of the windows build, which have every file.
The only thing missing in this earlier build is the first text panel over the fire, everything else is the same.

Developer (1 edit)

Here you can read the missing text

Great Job! so peaceful with the music and the sound effects were top notch. I loved the incorporation of the theme, the game was fun and easy to understand and by the time I got to the logs blocking the path I knew what I needed to use without trial and error.

Developer(+1)

Thank you!!! I was actually worried the game was hard to understand, I added texts and audio feedbacks in the end to improve that :)

It's perfect if it gives a peacefull feeling , that what I was going for ^^
