YT LIVE REVIEW 56:2
This is a fantastic show of how elegant foundational design can make an adventure sing. This has it all, from growing horror and combat to a possible constant villain and even a town for the PCs to operate out of afterward.I want to see more of this adventure or expansion in the future.
Watch. Listen. Learn.
Be A Better Gamer,
You know, like this designer!
Whoa! Love the bloody boarder signifers. Very dynamic dungeon design elements.
DIZ ROCKS SO 'ARD!
Very nice! The mechanics may seem intense at first glance, but it is laid out beautifully and explained very well. I love the red pops in the stark black and white!
I've read some really cool submissions already but this is by far my fav. Vibes for days, a memorable villain with style & personality, chock full of buttery-smooth gaming aids to help run it. Really, really great use of space, an inspired piece I will likely steal from for my home games. Very well done!
I want to see this glow up because this is great as is, but it got the brain firing on how to take it another level.
The villainous hand is both comical and horrific. Lots of detail to the town (lathe & plaster walls?!). The XP Boon idea is neat. I'll agree with the other commenters that the tracking table seems like it makes things more manageable.
Also, I love the cover art.
To keep up the tension and to keep track of events and chronology, I really appreciate the chart on the last page. Very helpful for GMs. Perhaps offer that as a separate download as well to make it even easier for a GM to track and perhaps even space to write upon?
Definitely agree here, love the setup being a town overrun. Makes each run feel very different.
I'm gonna add maps and a tracker sheet soon. I left it as just the core 8 pages because that's what's judged for the jam.
