First Game Jam - Recommended Tools or Templates?

Hey Fellow Crawlers,

As the title states - this is my first game jam and I'm wondering if there are tools or resources out there that anyone can share that are helpful for designing for a game jam like this? I'm thinking document templates, font sets, etc. I will do some digging on my own but wanted to see if I was missing something obvious. Cheers!

Using google docs, since it’s your first go, is probably the right move. Use a font for the main text that is easy to read. These will usually have round glyphs like futura, poppins, or IBM Plex. Use condensed fonts for tables, like Oswald or IBM Plex Condensed. Use a fun font for headings that matches your adventure vibe. Putting stuff in two columns will increase readability. And lastly, write your content such that you reduce page flipping. You’ll be off to the races!

Great! Love the recommendations. Thanks!

I posted a list of resources to the Shadowdark subreddit if you want to check it out.

Cheers for this mate. Incredibly useful.

Also my first Game Jam, totally lost and a little scared.  Going in on hard mode as I have not yet been able to pick up Shadowdark, the main reason I am entering is to get my hands on a copy, so writing something to be used in the game system is going to be a bit of a challenge lol.  Fingers crossed!

Ah thank you, that will make things a bit easier!  I also just made a playlist of videos by all of my favorite YouTube people that have done a review / overview on Shadowdark.
