This was the last game I rated for this jam and man what a cool one to end on. Very cool concept and execution, I love it :). However, I was unable to get past the second level, got a little confused lol. The world outside the programming one could also use work. Really cool game though, very ambitious and well done :)
THanks!
What was confusing in the 2nd level?
Your game looked awesome
This is such a special game, I really really liked it (:
also a great game for teaching kids some really basic programming, so fun (:
Sometimes things need to be explained a little more clearly, and it felt like I had to figure out how the game worked on my own kind of. Maybe instead of telling the player what you do, you should show them with examples and visuals, that would definitely have helped me.
still though, I really like this game and it's very cool execution!
(also u need a better thumbnail cause the current one is pretty boring ngl and doesn't communicate how cool the game is)
I agree about the thumbnail I was the artist for the game and I'm not very good at detailed pixel art I'm more of a traditional artist. So I did my best with it il make sure to ask Johnwario to change it after the flow jam. like he said, we will update it :)
yeah it's no worry (:
I only mentioned the thumbnails cause people might skip over the game and miss out on it cause the thumbnail doesn't look very intetesting, which is pretty unfortunate
Reminds me of those programming courses where you have to make the character move a certain number of times to teach iterations. Cool concept that really ties into the theme. The gameplay can be a little slow though, and it really doesn't help that if you mess up at certain points, you have to do the whole level all over again
thanks
I'll be doing a major update after the jam
Your game was really impressive!
For me, this game is the perfect example of the theme. The whole coding mechanic is really unique (I don't believe we've had a coding game made with flowlab before?) and the idea of the robot's code world correlating to gadgets in the real world is also super unique (and implies that the grandpa may be some kind of a coding guru himself despite living in a log cabin...). I will say that the gameplay was just slightly more drawn out on some of the levels with multiple buttons just to access other buttons, but still this is a very creative game that's got a lot of charm too (coding and being in a log cabin somehow just fit well together). Great job on this!
Thank you! I thought it would be really original!
The robot's mechanic is a bit challenging but very creative and fun.
Thanks
I'll keep that in mind
