Pretty rough around the edges, but the main mechanic is pretty fun.
that one sound hurts my ears :(
i did like the concept of it though, but the lack of clarity definitely hurts, since i could just run through each bunch of rooms, and also getting hit can lead to a stun-lock
polarity i can kinda see it, but feels a tad shoehorned in
like the whole rotating scrap thing could've been telegraphed easier if it had, like... mouse controls instead of it rotating itself after getting that specific upgrade
cant rate (because im just playing entries for fun) but i'm saying them here:
Gameplay: 2 or 3/5
Like i said, it was a bit confusing and also the fact i could just run past everything kinda knocks the challenge out of it for me (and also the game can lag upon loading a new room or with enemy death particles)
Graphics: 1 or 2/5
Only doing this for the sound design :(
I like the art made for it, looks nice, but the sound design really could use tweaking, specifically when killing an enemy, it is very loud ;-;)
Innovation: 4/5
vampire survivors-like (thats about all i can say on my behalf, ive never played it but ive seen it)
Theme: 2/5
ditto to what i said in my 2nd paragraph
Polish: 2/5
ditto to what i said in my 1st and 2nd paragraph
Sometimes, strange glitches with object physics occur, where an object pressed against a corner of a wall (using our magnetic field) just shoots off into the unknown.
I'm not sure if the total inability to control movement when the player gets hit is the best solution. It would be nice if there were at least some way to influence your trajectory.
I'm not sure if the mechanic where an enemy takes damage from an object they moved themselves (if they have too many items in their magnetic field, the items don't stay in the field but instead fly toward the player) is all that enjoyable—or more importantly—easy to detect. For a good portion of my playtime, I was wondering why I was "randomly" taking damage because of this. It would be great if this were communicated more clearly >///<
Overall, though, I really like the mechanics, and I think with a bit of fine-tuning, this could be a truly professional game—better than any others in the same genre!
Even as it stands now, it's very fun to play, and if it just had more content, I’d happily spend even more time on it!!! :3
