Nice game! the camera transitions are pretty smooth

Currently the game I rated 2nd best. The movement speed is a bit slow.

Thanks!

honestly this wasnt that good, sorry

I think the main problem was that the levels are way to large , so it is basically just a guessing game . there is even a level where you need to get right one of two shafts or just restart three times in a row.

What you could have done is to make the levels more like puzzles where you need to find some creative solution to die.

Dont take this critique personally tho . Other people may really enjoy this game.

Thanks for the honest feedback, really appreciate it! I can see what you mean by that, and personally, I agree. But the main mechanics of the game took me so long to make, that I only had about 1.5 hours to make all the level props and builds. Once again thanks for the honest feedback!

Yeah I totally get that, game development is hard so you should absolutely be proud on finishing your game on time :)

Thanks :D

Also, once again thanks for honest feedback, it is feedback like yours that helps people to improve :D

Like how the game fits the topic really well, you literally die to progress and you it's pretty fun trying to find your way to die.

Thanks! Tried to make it fun haha

Got lost trying to find ways to die. Would be better to have smaller levels and introduce new ways to die each level.  it's kinda like a teleportation game where you jump into the lava and don't know where you'll end up. You could give the player more obvious choices of how to die so they could pick and then see where that takes them. I enjoyed playing it though, nice game.

Yes, someone else said the same thing, and personally, I agree. But as I have said to that person, I am a slow coder so in total I only had around 1.5 hours to make all the levels and props and stuff

Well for the amount of time you spent on the game you did an amazing job.

Submitted

The levels are unnecessarily way too open which makes it a bit overwhelming. Also, the jump feels floaty, which can be fixed by increasing the gravity & slowing the jump force when the player releases the jump key, and a better color scheme would make your game look nicer.

Good Job, pretty fun and the concept fits the theme well

I was going to be frustrated by the pick-a-path level, then I realised that was the whole point of the theme, and it actually keeps it very well X) Nice.

Love the simplistic art style! You really need to force yourself to think "I need to not reach the flag, I need to die" lol. Unfortunately my character did get stuck a few times though. Nice work!

Developer

Yes, the stuck bug happens sometimes, and I cannot get to fix it. Thanks for the feedback and the nice comment :D
