Lovely art :) I wish there was a way to deduce instead of just guess but I know it's difficult to implement anything more complicated during a jam. My favorite parts are the texts when the cat pretends to be an actual cat.

I clicked a lamp, and a cat told me it was the wrong one. I will continue to click that lamp.

The art was really cute and the sound design was great! Gameplay wise I wasn't quite sure what I was supposed to be doing... I know you're supposed to predict what lamp the cat was going to pick, but there was no way to discern which lamp it was, making it a blind gamble with no stakes. One thing I feel would fix this issue would be the option to ask the cat about a lamp and have the cat give a vague response, making it more of a word puzzle to figure out which lamp it is. Overall, it has the potential to be good and I'd love to see what you do with it if you work on it after the jam!

Really cool art, game itself could be more though

very good art and sound design, just no actual gameplay which is sad honestly this cat has potential for making a really good game! good job on everything

That's a pretty spectacular cat face, I have to admit. Very cute theme, and the way you've written it, I really hope there is some secret research study going on in the background trying to deduce the most attractive lamp style amongst indie game developers. Lol. I managed to get 2/6 twice, but no better than that.

Nitpicks:

  • I wish the cat on top was a button that played a cat sound effect
  • Why doesn't the cat use a power strip to plug all of the lamps into one outlet? The whole room is dedicated to lamps, so why waste two outlets in a different room?

Incredibly cute art, great work :)

I love the visuals, but I feel like the game itself needs something more to make it engaging.

This is hilarious :D I wonder, is it 100% RNG or is there really something "learning" in the background?

Submitted(+1)

Super cute, it stretches the cooperation aspect of the theme a bit I think, it definitely felt more adversarial. Charmed, nice work!

Very simple and I love the music and the visuals :)
If you want to mess around more as a cat, try my game!

"Best game, 100 percent replayable" - Twitch chat
"Reminds me of Skyrim" - Moog

Cat game, good game, wish I could win though. Good art, good music, nice job.

Cute game! What a cute and sneaky cat, I was bad at guessing.

A bizarre concept that had me intrigued, but the gameplay appears to be entirely random, so I ended up just clicking randomly on lamps and being mocked by a cat. Feels like something's missing to make this engaging.

As someone else noted below, having some way to predict the cat's movements would have been helpful; it would basically have added an element of gameplay that seems to be missing here -- a sense of agency. At present, it feels fruitless to even try to guess, since you have less than 20% to guess correctly.

The cat's dialogue suggested that maybe it's learning over time, but it appears to just be narrative.

Overall, the visuals are great and audio complements the theme, but ultimately a lack of agency makes it difficult to engage with.

Nice "cat". But you can't fool me!

really pretty art! do wish there was a way to tell which lamp he'd turn on without guessing, would make it more engaging
