nice game i really enjoyed the art. feels very polished as well with the transitions from coding to not coding. the moving of the bot felt a little confusing/didn't offer enough feedback though

I like the idea of playing the role of an actual developer and the (kind of) scratch like experience.
- It would be nice to only reset the code-snippets & AI position instead of having to recollect every snippet again.
- If the player can run a snippet, before the previous one has finished executing.
Therefore, the player can sometimes not complete the level. - If you use the “Go right” snippet, the AI seems to be able to walk through walls.
- Don’t let the AI collect the snippets that is needed next!
- Nice to have: Interact indication in the console (e.g. “Click me” popup)
With some bug fixing and polishing, this game could be really interesting.
Interesting idea how you lose each bit of code once you use it. Feedback: The player was a bit too slow for my liking. Making them faster would make the game less tedious.
Would love if you could rate my game: https://itch.io/jam/wowie-jam-4/rate/1662586
Cool idea. but the execution isn't quite there. Having to re-collect all the code pieces every time I reset got very tedious and wasn't adding anything to the experience, it just discouraged me from experimenting. The commands themselves also seemed glitchy and inconsistent - sometimes the robot would just walk through the wall, and sometimes it would do nothing and cause me to waste the command. The pixel art graphics are pretty good though.
Overall a positive experience. Wish i could move a little faster and the music wasnt so repetitive. But other than that it was fun :)
Neat concept! Good job with the different interfaces, and hiding chips behind objects is a neat touch. It gives me some old-school flash game nostalgia. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to play through to the end, since the robot was capable of walking outside of the level.
Nitpicks:
- I wish the level reset button didn't make me collect all the navigation chips again
- I feel like maybe the level could end when you successfully navigate the AI to the button, walking to the exit portal might be unnecessary
Fun concept, but could be interesting to add some AI elements to the controlled robot
Interesting concept at least. Not sure it counts as AI, I mean you tell it where to go. But nice game.
I like the concept! and searching intructions around and use them to control your robot is cool. I do noticed some order issue as shown below. Also I'd wish the player can move faster when searching around.
nice game
