I almost immediately encountered a bug that caused jump inputs not to be recognized, confusing me a bit at the start. Restarting the game fixed it.
About the gameplay, it feels kinda floaty, the attack animation kinda locks you up, and the range of it is either way too short or inconsistent.
It's also a pretty... unconventional idea to put a very difficult jump right at the start. Not that the difficult jumps later on are any less bullshit, but I get that you couldn't really get a tutorial-type level going for a game jam game. Though later on there is a semi-tutorial section, where you jump on the single-block platforms, but above a safety net, rather than an endless pit.
In general a lot of the jumps seem very difficult, possibly because the player hitbox is larger than visually shown, which isn't intuitively understandable, and possibly because the devs are of course intimately familiar with the function of the game mechanics, and from that point of view what may seem trivial is actually quite rough.
The respawn mechanics feel almost entirely superfluous, mainly because the only thing that seems to get carried over is which enemy is dead. And considering the enemies don't *really* pose a threat, that's not really much of a benefit. Getting immediately pushed back to the start, especially with these rather high difficulty jumps (maybe the floaty controls and seeming lack of coyote time just makes the jumps way harder), is a big punishment, and also the same punishment you get from losing all lives. So without checkpoints, or making fighting the enemies a bigger part of the game, the lives system can easily be left out.
The music and graphics are nice enough, though the music is a bit loud, and I have a few points for the graphics too:
-I don't quite understand what the point of the white outlines is, they might be common but generally more subdued than here
-The attack animation of the player character is kinda bad, it lacks impact, it feels like the knight is slowing down the attacking leg before reaching the target. The range of the attack is also pretty bad, but at least the gameplay range and visual range are pretty close, so that's good.
-The characters don't feel like they belong in the game world, both from a theming perspective and a pure visual one. Maybe it's the white borders, maybe it's that small gap between character sprites and floor, they just seem detached from the world. Theming-wise, I think it's obviously a time limitation, and that's fine.
-A graphical/gameplay issue: If you jump over an enemy with a throwing attack that faces you (like that third enemy, the skeleton pirate), they violently oscillate between looking left and right, and their projectile seemingly switches sides too, making it hard to read, and possibly instantly taking health off you when you land on the other side
In conclusion, for a 48 hour game jam game, it ain't bad. It's obviously lacking a lot of polish, and (more importantly) playtesting by other people, but still, not bad for what it is. I'm sure you'll only improve :)

The controls feel a bit "floaty". When jumping the player rises a bit too slow and when starting to walk from a halt the acceleration takes too long to start moving, it feels like I'm constantly pushing against some invisible force to move my character.
also as others pointed out, the range of the attacks is too short which makes it much more rewarding to avoid enemies entirely.
I'm also not a big fan of the pixel precision jumps one has to make at some points, brings me back to castlevania times ^^;
Other than that, really well made and I'm sure you guys will get better with every jam you enter! The graphics are really nice and the tunes are quite catchy :)

I really loved the art style and the music! However the lack of the range in melee made me rather avoid combat completely and the section in between the levels with the enemy placement made it too frustrating to me to get through, since I felt like I was forced to take a hit or two there to get through.

The graphic and sound design is great! I love the character and could definitely see Kinght Fu as a full feature game like shovel knight almost. Great job!

Awesome platformer, sweet music and great level design. Maybe the knight should stick out his leg a bit further when kicking! Felt the melee range could have been extended slightly!

This is pretty fun! Though I was sad none of the enemies wanted to talk to me haha
By the way for the enemies who throws fireballs, it seems that the fireballs keep moving with them when they walk. Be sure the fireball isn't a child to the enemy object to avoid this. Well done :)

Really fun platform game, the art and music were great! I felt the attack range wasn't long enough but other than that i enjoyed playing, well done!

Lovely character graphics. I will say that I think the melee attack is a bit too short-range to be useful. I had much more success just avoiding the enemies altogether. Level design was good!

Nice design and solid gameplay, had some trouble with the precision of the jumping but that's just me being bad at platformers. Well done!

The game looks really cool, too bad you can't kill guys by jumping on them, it's the first thing I tried haha. Next time I think the player should jump just a bit higher, jumping into the corners of walls every time got in the way of the flow of the game. (Then just place jump farther apart to keep the same level of difficulty.)

Cute graphics and nice basic gameplay. The game is a bit demanding on precision jumping, which might be intentional. Fighting collision might use some polish in telegraphing what area is affected by your kicks. Music and sound effects are nice and remind of old newgrounds flash games, which is a nice touch. Overall this game could use some polish, but base game mechanics and graphics are there and work nicely.

good job
there where some bugs
and the attack was i bit usless as the enemy would have already damaged mebefore i got the to attack
as in bugs the most mager one as i was playing the character stoped jumping right at the start
(i was tring to see what happens when you jump and attack mid-air)

Really liked the art style and the soundtrack. Controls could do with a bit of polish and some of the jumps seemed a bit too difficult, but that could just be me being bad at games :p
