Neat concept ! i like it very much, good controls, and nice music, but most importantly smooth all around implementation.

but i have some comments, adding sound effects and a better graphics and UI would make it 10x better however it's to be expected from a jam game, i think that the tutorial isn't intuitive maybe you could pause the screen while you're playing and then inform the player about what to do mid game, and i feel like the game area is useless simply because you'll be spending most of your time defending the portal which in turn makes you stationary and you only have to move as far as the first health and mana pool reside. otherwise great game.


also i found a bug in the middle spell , the name isn't shown it takes the name of the side spells which is confusing

Hey thanks for the feedback. I noticed that about the game area too, but unfortunately i didnt have the time to fix it before submission. 

The tutorial is effinately something i need to improve on.

None of the spells have names since they are randomly generated. But i am wroking on ways t obetter differentiate spells.

I really like how many different spells and special attributes they had, but some of them are a bit op. Singularity would freeze the game for a few seconds and just kill all the enemies on screen, and I got a chain type spell that wouldn't disappear, so it was just a huge area of massive damage. Just a bit of balancing could make this a great wave based spell slinger!

Wave 12! Went for a very similar concept to my own game! Some visual indicators to show damage would great and maybe some cast sounds! But really liked the depth and detail of each spell description I picked up. Very nice! Il keep my eye on further development!

I plan on releasing an update once the judging portion of the jam is over with alot of key fixes and changes.

Interesting game. I myself really like the infinite waves style of game. When I played there were a lot of chain particles around the obelysk and I just couldn't die. I believe I was at 130k. Although before the game glitched out I had so much fun. I encourage you to try and make it so that instead of protecting the obelysk you just try to survive. Great game!

Cool game with unique visuals, definitely needs more sound effects in general, especially for any damage that is being take on enemy and player health. The foundations are there for a fun experience. The random unlocks for spells also adds replay elements and if friends could play this in a multiplayer I could see hours of fun. Its a little bit of a shame that there is no Christmas aspects to the game since this is a Christmas game jam however it is refreshing since most of the other games in the jam are Christmas related. Hopefully you can a do more to it because it has so much potential. Great Game, Good Job.

Sooo I did more than 60k points...but I might have bug abused a bit (a bit ...)
 I had a blast ! Very cool game, music is on point, some controls could have been improved but still, very cool !

The spell that pops a 'big thunder' on the ground y'see it ?
Well it wouldn't depop x) So I just spammed it all around the fountain, and I had myself a beautiful protective shield !

Even though I didn’t understand why I am teleporting to wellspring sometimes, it’s a really cool game, and you did very well despite the time limitation. With some polishing this came can be really fun to play. Good job! Nice music.

You teleport to the wellspring when you run out of health. If i had the time i would have added a respawn screen.

Fun lil game, I think either a visual or audio cue when you hit enemies would  be good (probaby visual so it's not super repetitive); I like the challenge you gave yourself with all the spells and I was pleasantly surprised by the enemy variation

Thanks for the feedback, yea visual ques and such were on my "to do if there is time" list.

The enemy and spell variations are all down to random generators, so there are quite alot of options.

Nice game, would have been nice to have a visual effect to know when the player has hit an enemy, like a particle effect or slightly changed sprite. Really good, like the spell assortment. But by wave 11 I couldn't even shoot anymore, my bullets just stopped firing. Just a small easy fix, the rest of the game was good.

After looking into it i think wat was happening that caused you to be unable to cast.

Im guessing somewhere arround wave 10 or so an enemy was added that had a "Silence" spell. Meaning that their spells cause you to be unable to cast.

I see that is a cool spell, didn't know they cast it on me, is there a marker or notification to say you have the debuff, I was too busy focusing on the enemies when it happened?

There is not. Spell effect markers are something i didnt realize i needed untill after submission

I would have liked some more polishing, I wasnt able to switch spells even after reading the tutorial, but overall Its very fun to play with the types of spells.

yea more polish is always good lol.

you should be able to switch spells with q/e

when assigning spells you can click on your hotbar to clear it of a spell so that you can equip new ones.
