I like the gameplay! Its challenging but not too much. It could always be polished more but I think thats true for all of these games.

If you get a chance id love to get your opinion on mine!

The gameplay is pretty fun and challenging. Santa's hitbox is a little too big though, which isn't great in a game like this. I do like the fact that the elves actively move towards the dropped presents.

Cool little game.  Some music or something would've been nice, but it's otherwise a nice level of difficulty

Game started just fine on Debian for me (Java 8).

As for the game, tank controls are my worst enemy. Kept dying before getting to the twenties. Definitely playable though, if you're not as inept as me. Appreciate the readme file too.

The game wouldnt start on Ubuntu

Sorry to hear that, I haven't had time to debug for other platforms it might be a problem with how file paths work on linux, make sure the 'res' directory is placed next to the game's jar file. You could also launch the game with the command: (this will show an error log if there is any)

java -jar gifter.jar

The game starts but its only a white window.

Yes, that happens when the game can't find the graphics and/or the map file.

This probably is a problem on the game's end. I don't think there is a fix for it without me editing the source code which can't be done after submission.

But for future reference what linux distro are you running? (As it does seem to work on debian)

Im running Linux Mint so its a Ubuntu derivitive.
my DE is Cinnamon

Thank you.

Knowing that - I can make sure my future projects run on that distro as well.

Have a nice jingle jam! :)
