Thank you so much for checking my game out and leaving some feedback! Yeah, I wanted to do at least one more solo work before trying to branch out and work with others, just to see my current level and just to challenge myself. A lot had to get cut out and even bandaged due to my lack of scripting knowledge, so the difficultly fluctuated a lot. The Sun King was going to have more attacks, and there was even supposed to be a mini-boss that was "The Sun Prince" with his own attacks. Sucks I couldn't use any of those art and animations I made, but it is what it is. As for the tilemap flickering, it was my first time making my own tilemap from scratch, so I just kinda assumed I messed up somewhere, but I'll defo look that this video for future projects. Long shpeel over, thanks again for checking my game and enjoying!

Your additional ideas that were scrapped sound also very interesting. Maybe you can use them in an update or another game. I can assure you that the flickering is not because of you messing up. It's Unity which messes up your tilemaps :D If the suggested solution in the video does not work for you, there are other solutions, too (e.g. setting the "Pixels per Unity" of your tilemap sprites to 1 pixel less than you have right now).
I get it that you wanted to do another solo project before working with others. I also normally work on my own, but I did 2 projects with my friend now.
For how long have you been in game development now?
I'll defo look into these things. A part of me does want to come back to this project to fix some of the things that I couldn't do, but maybe when I get better with Unity, or maybe try it in Godot.
I got my Bachelor's in Game Design, which took two years, but I can only really confidently say that I took it seriously for about 5 months now. I'm still learning and trying to improve myself.
Hbu, how long have you are your friend been in game dev
Oh cool, you have a bachelor's degree in Game Design! Nice!
I started learning Unity about 2 years ago, but just as a hobby on the side as I am already working full time. I studied something completely different. My friend has been doing art for a long long time, but it was used as game sprites for the first time a year ago, when we paticipated at our first game jam together.
