Oh my gosh you guys!!! This was so fun, haha. Really had me laughing and caught up in cadence of storytelling. The vibe of this reminded me of ?? If this makes sense, haha - That one really good ScoobyDoo Movie where there were actual werewolves. Like there's breaks of group check ins and jokes and chatter cut between these tense exploration and puzzle solving. Kind of how like that movie was paced, haha. Idk why it reminded me of it, it just did. Very cool!!  I hope that comes across right, haha. I mean it as a huge compliment. That's such a tricky balance, imo. The funny with the scary.

The voices were so fun, that's so much work!! Really good job! The gasping was funny but only cuz I knew it was Hawk, tbh haha. Otherwise I might've thought I was missing something / some scary monster was lurking, instead of it was just Heather keeping up with the action haha.

I loved the dissonance of a lot of the scares! There's a very cool sense of like, unreality, absurdity and distress in this. Almost like being in a dream, but in that half awake way where things feel too real and you STILL don't have any control. I liked the little easter eggs too, like Pauline mentioning the Hairy Trees haha. And again with the wild unreality flashes! Poor Pauline, really. Can't catch a break.

I think as always the puzzles made sense and the chase sequences are always spooky!! The sprite of monster was really creeepyyyy.  And the music was so ambient and beautiful!! Really captured that like, tin-y underwater feel. I felt like I recognized the chase music, but can't remember where. Maybe Mausoleosis? Am I spelling that right? ah well haha, you know what I mean. OH! And I loved the like, Picasso fucked up feel to some of the art!! SO cool!

Idk who did what in the game but huge congrats to you both! This was really weird, fun and original.

In the end we are all.... made of spaghetti.

Thank you so much for your review, Chevie! A.V.Dossow did the programming and spritework, I did the CGs and Bust Art and we split 50/50 with both concept art AND writing. It was a blast seeing that combine to feel like Scooby Doo on Zombie Island [I think it was that in one of those series of movies if that's what you are talking about.] The fact everyone suggests to me the rest of the games should have that same Scooby Doo energy says a lot! It might mess with continuity but these adventures are starting to grow on me!

The absurdity was almost entirely Axel himself but that's a good thing. I feel like the game would be safe and boring without it, and honestly I love horror comedy like the stuff Tim Burton's Corpse Bride tries to convey [as well as the original Beetlejuice before my teacher turned it off because it got too risque]. I am hoping to learn how to follow on this balance of funny vs. scary in the future!
