I think the attacking was a bit too conveluted, I ended up just mashing it to try get em and couldn’t get anywhere. Tried playing a few times but just kept losing early one. The 2D art is nice, I like the idea and the theme usage is good but I think the gameplay could be improved and tweaked a good bit.

My main feedback would be to keep things like that simpler when you only got 2 days, the game lacks alot of polish in regards to the UI and gameplay. Not sure how the intro cinematic goes but if it’s based off a timer I would have some sort of indication or button to advance because I thought my game had frozen. With menus its also good to add a small bit of responsiveness when you’re hovering over a button to let me know it can be clicked and do something, felt like just a flat image. I can die but there is no health bar etc

Just giving all this feedback because it looks like 6 of you worked on the game, so I am assuming there was alot of work put in and you have something cool here, it is just very hard to actually experience any of it due to the final entry being a bit too rough and the fighting not feeling very good I just kept getting my ass whooped.

Thank you for your feedback 😊. Gameplay feels hard at first, but its nothing when you got the idea. You just have to knock-down and infect. Actual hard part is managing your energy, keeping your HP and search for vulnerable points. We waste too much time balancing the game so the main character is as strong as enemies. Just dont forget you are not a barbarian warrior and avoid jumping straight into the fight. DM me for online couching for further strategies 😉.

Alright sounds good I will give the game another go, also found the issue with the UI. When the game isn’t in full screen in the browser alot of the screen is cut off. WHen I went full screen it appeared so I think there is something there with the canvas size. I’ll keep going till I get past the opening and come back to my rating.

Alright I said to myself I would give it 15 attempts and I did but the most I could do was take out one of the kids. Think there must just be some issues with hit detection because most of the time E wouldn’t work and would only get them on the 5-6th press after they were hit so I just kept losing all my health before I could take em out. So I would have the say my thoughts on the gameplay right now are the same but it can be better with some adjustments to make hit detection better and easier to do.

Still a good effort though for a 48 hour jam most people end up without the time to do some playtesting to spot these things, what I learned this summer myself was when I’m making a game I know exactly how it is played and what I need to do to get everything right, but that doesn’t mean new players will and most of the time won’t. So I try now all the time to find one random friend to give it a play for me before submission to spot things I wouldn’t be able to notice.

Yes we are aware of that bug. At first it was working correctly. So we didn't even test it. We find out that after submission 😔. Thank you for your time btw!

Also there should be a HP and a stamina bar. Dont know why you cant see. There might be a bug we never encountered.
