This was a fun game to play! I really liked the art and music. I enjoyed the battle system too. The concept is fun too!
Here's some feedback if y'all choose to expand on this:
- I didn't realize I had to draw a card each round at first. Even after I learned I frequently forgot. Still got through the game fine! In a way it made things unique and fun for me a bit--it reminded me of forgetting to do something during my turn in a real-world card game, which is pretty uncommon with games like this. I can't tell right now if there's ever a reason to not draw a card though. It could be interesting to give the player more of a reason to opt out of this.
- Sometimes it seemed like my card disappeared when I tried to draw it. I don't know if that meant I immediately applied it or not. Might be a bug?
- Sometimes it felt a bit difficult to actually pick the card out of my hand, might just be something with detecting where the mouse is or what card it's supposed to be over.
- The question marks on the map seem to just skip levels? Or maybe I got lucky/unlucky haha.
- I couldn't tell what the ice/blizzard card does.
Overall, great work y'all! It's awesome how much y'all got done for the jam!
