Hey, thanks for the reply.
I can imagine you followed the same Flappy-Bird tutorial that I did for reference.
I did not follow that Flappy BIrd tutorial but this is the first thing I've ever created using PICO8 so I did go through a lot of educational materials related to that.
I think the most commendable thing in your project is your artwork. I like that your levels each had a different theme. Also, did you mix your own chip-tune, or is that an asset you found? If its your own, then I have to give you props for that as well! It'd be nice to know what level of work you put into your assets.
All of the audio was made by me using the PICO8 sfx/music editors. If you've never messed around with it go check it out, it comes with relatively easy to use editors for everything including code, maps, graphics, sfx and audio: https://www.lexaloffle.com/pico-8.php
I found it difficult to get used to your game's controls. "Double Jump makes you invincible" wasn't the most intuitive thing for me, but once I discovered it, I felt like it was more feasible to beat all 3 levels.
I put some details about the fact that double-jumping is an attack on the game page but I wish I had made it more clear and also made it more clear when an enemy is killed or does damage to you. Next time I do something like this I'll definitely keep that in mind... visual feedback is pretty important and I think it's lacking a little here.
P.S. is that an army of Donald Trumps in the third level? XD
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
