Besides the bug at the very end, this was a very pleasant experience. The mechanic was simple to grasp but well polished and the level design was genuinely excellent. I only have some minor nitpicks:

  • The controls being visible all the time and occupying a big part of the screen was a bit of a strange choice. I did get used it but I still think maybe a toggle would’ve been cool.

  • The jump felt a bit “zippy” as you get smaller. Like it felt very jittery if that makes sense. If that was the vibe you were going for, ignore this comment, but I think something a bit smoother would’ve worked well.

Solid entry overall. I would love to see more worlds with more ways to utilize the mush.

(on a random note, a funny thing I noticed is that my volume down/F2 key made the mush move left for some reason!)

I really appreciate your comments and I’m glad you had fun! To follow up to your feedback:

  1. It’s kinda funny how the controls ended up on the side. We had original planned to have an inventory UI in that space and Mushy would collect exhaustible items across levels. We ended up popping the controls there in case we didn’t have time to make the tutorial
  2. I agree, the jump could use some polishing, especially at those smaller sizes.

thanks again for playing :)
